Tried some on at lunchtime today. Looked fab. My bum looked gorgeous. But they cost £140

If I do buy them would have to half that cost when telling dh.

Should I buy them?

if you can afford it go for it!!

marthamoo · 06/09/2005 16:48

Well I thought £40 on my Next pair was pricey but - if you can afford them - hell, yes

yes tell him they were 50 and when he sees your bum tell him the truth!

turquoise · 06/09/2005 17:28

Have you looked if theyre on ebay?

Skate · 06/09/2005 17:33

OMG - I wouldn't spend that on one pair - but it's up to you!!

saadia · 06/09/2005 17:37

I wouldn't spend that much on jeans either but then again if they're jeans you'll probably wear them alot and that might make it worthwhile.

northerner · 07/09/2005 09:54

Stuff it I'm gping to treat myself

Cod - no they aren't skinny skinny, bot not boot cut either IYSWIM.

northerner
is there really a difference in how they make the bum look? i find this really hard to believe, btw, all for designer look ex fashion junkie, but jeans how can they cost more than good quality fabric trousers, all it is a pattern and denim fabric? and there are so many brands coming out of the US now, are they just not cashing in.

but if you feel a million in them go for them!!!!

Lizzylou · 07/09/2005 10:02

Some girls at work have a pair and have to admit they are cut really well, very flattering. If you have the money and feel that good in them then they are definitely worth it.

Nbg · 07/09/2005 10:02

I am sooo jealous Northerner

Where have you seen them?

wheresmyfroggy · 07/09/2005 10:04

Go for it

I debated over a pair of armani jeans that i eventually bought for £180 just over a year ago and i've hardly been out of them

it's worth it for that great feeling that you get whenever you wear an item of clothing that you absolutely love

JoolsToo · 07/09/2005 10:05
Shock

I think you can totally justify spending that much on a pair of jeans - you'll get so much wear out of them. Like with coats. But not evening dresses.
So long as they're not bootcut you'll be supero stylish this autumn.
(have you tried tucking them into boots? Make sure you don't get saggy denim knees hanging over the top - but then if you say they're not bootcut that's probably ok!)
Go for it!

liz12 · 08/09/2005 12:13

I've never gone for that 'investment' thing mainly cause I can't afford it. But if you've got the money and you really like them, then they're worth it, surely!
Why don't you see if they've got the same size/style on ebay and try to buy them there? Could get them a lot cheaper...

steffee · 08/09/2005 12:24

I couldn't afford it but go for it!! I'm so sick of spending £30ish on a pair of jeans only for them to look old after they've been washed a couple of times. When you think about it, it's only the cost of 4 pairs of normal-priced jeans, and I bet they last much much longer and make you feel fab, so yeah, go for it.

piffle · 08/09/2005 12:29

YES!!!!
I adore mine
Buy off Ebay got mine brand new for £34 quid I LOVE them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cupcakes · 08/09/2005 12:49

piffle - did you try on in store before buying on ebay? Did you know exactly what you wanted beforehand as regards style and size?
I rarely get to London to try any on but am often tempted by those on ebay.

piffle · 08/09/2005 13:03

I read advice to buy a good size over what you normally would. I followed this and am very happy. Mine are low waisted and boot cut which is a style I love and I agree, they do serious work on your butt!
Nope I never tried on as I live in a hick town that only has a Woolies!

ninah · 08/09/2005 13:04

yes, go on!

Tinker · 08/09/2005 13:08

Just looked, stacks on Ebay, have to be back of a lorry stuff?

cupcakes · 08/09/2005 13:29
