Which paint colour please?

A change from clothes threads!

I'm getting built-in book shelves/cupboards in my study. Our paintwork is Jasmine White (which is an off-white but to my eye it looks white). Do I do the units in the Jasmine White so as they'll be the same as the skirting and architraves or in good old Brilliant White. Opinions welcome! Thanks

I'd do it Jasmine white so that it blends rather than stands out. Brilliant white could make the jasmine white look 'dirty'.

Thanks Knotty - was leaning towards Jasmine to tone it in but hadn't thought about the J/W looking grubby - great point!! Decision made - ah, the power of Mumsnet!
