BigusBumus · 23/09/2010 12:16

I have just ordered some stuff from Mint Velvet (in grey Grin) and got 20% off (which equated to £41!) using this code:

ESMAG

Only valid till 31st September though. Thought it might be helpful to someone.

Thanks. Like their clothes a lot.

GinoGinelli · 23/09/2010 12:17

lol at grey

electra · 23/09/2010 12:26

Where is this site? I can't find it by googling...

GinoGinelli · 23/09/2010 14:05

here

electra · 23/09/2010 15:16

Ah, thanks Gino

sweetheart · 23/09/2010 16:02

How good is mint velevt stuff? Never ordered from there before but there is a really nice cami top on the site - only thing is it's £55 which I find quite expensive even with the 20% discount!

BadgersArse · 23/09/2010 16:02

not that good

TwasEverThus · 23/09/2010 16:55

Thanks Gino - got the leather 'military' jacket.

bananapeanutbutter · 23/09/2010 18:38

There is some really nice stuff on the site. Have you ordered from them before badgersarse or you just don't like the look of any of the clothes on the website?

missbeehiving · 23/09/2010 18:52

I love Mint Velvet and have ordered this knit andthese boots. Thank you!

FWIW I think the quality is excellent. I have bought this and this and a dress in the past couple of months and they are great.

And I love grey!Grin

sandytoes79 · 23/09/2010 19:51

Just got the biker boots- thank you v much!

BadgersArse · 23/09/2010 19:53

missbeehiving · 23/09/2010 20:15

I don't know - haven't got it yet. Will report back on crackleage whn it arrives.

BigusBumus · 23/09/2010 20:48

Glad the code's been helpful to a few!

I bought this quite boring knit and this shaggy jacket thing and errr... this quite grannyish tunic that I suspect I might be sending back

OP posts:
bananapeanutbutter · 23/09/2010 21:11

It is all very grey isn't it? even the clothes which are supposed to be "khaki" and "violet"? I actually really like that granny knit tunic bigusbumus but not sure I would pay £65 for it. Or £52.

BigusBumus · 23/09/2010 21:30

I wouldn't normally either Bananapeanutbutter, but we are just about to sell our house and I am flexing the plastic as it will be paid off with house move profits... A risky strategy, but I have been Officially Poor for 4 years and am enjoying this liberated spending feeling. I am a size 13 (in between 12 & 14 obv) and have very dark brown hair and a yellowy-white skin, so I am unsure how swathes of grey will look on me. I think I have been seduced by their very wistful, ethereal photography. Like someone in the front row of a fashion show is supposed to look. I think I will just look fat and sallow, but I will report back once clothes are here.

OP posts:
bananapeanutbutter · 23/09/2010 21:50

Please do BB I would love to know how it looks - I may even be tempted! I am very pale with massive boobs though so doubtful it would suit me. Sigh.

BigusBumus · 23/09/2010 21:58

I will let you know bpb. Massive boobs with tunics and leggings and some kind of fierce boots, like biker boots is a fab look though! I am wide shouldered, small boobs, small waist, big bum (obv!), big hips/thighs, small rest of legs. Very PEAR. I am 5ft6 as well, so Mrs Average really. I will report back on Grey Mint Velvet and let you know fit/quality/sizing etc.

Got my 'khaki' leather jacket ... was grey, natch.

What do you think of this for a Christmas Christening outfit, not sure what I'd wear with it, but hoped it might hide some lumps and bumps and my boobs might have gone down by then.

mamtomany I love that dress and have my eye on it, I think you'd have to try it to see what the pleats look like. Maybe with boots like these?
