I am thinking it would be lovely for wearing on winter nights out. I am sure I saw a lovely one online but can't think where?

I have looked at this phase eight one but think my 30G norks would not be flattered by the shirring on the bust.

I would like one with sleeves and I am also very short.

This is gorgeous and would flatter your bazookas?

FiveOrangePips · 23/09/2010 13:58

I like it Bunny, I wish it wasn't black, but I might try it on anyway.

I found the one I was thinking of, obviously forgot how pricey it was wrap not sure what colour I would get and wonder if it would drown me?

I just would like an easy sort of occasion dress and think something relaxed like the wrap one would be good - am I right/wrong? The Wrap velvet one is out of stock in my size - but they might get it back in stock.

Is this CK one very bad?

I like the colour of this but it seems to have some strange pleated thing going on.

This green is quite a good colour? But odd gathering at the hem?

I may give up now.

Thank you Kristina, it looks lovely in theory then?

In one of the newspapsers at the weekend they had a picture of an Orla Kiely yellow velver dress which was very beautiful, but it is not on the web site yet, although it said it was for Petite body shape it ws very modest, with a deep but narrow V nec and a small bow at the front, perhaps someone else saw it and can linkk to the picture? I think it was £296.

LetThemEatCake · 24/09/2010 08:15

Laura Ashley worth a try?

moonshine · 24/09/2010 09:26

I pretty sure I've seen the Oasis one in a lovely red colour in-store, although it's not on line.

FiveOrangePips · 24/09/2010 10:04

Thanks notobvious I could justify the price of the toast one, but not the price of the Orla Kiely.

I will have a look in L.A, and it is good to know the Oasis one comes in red. I am thinking that it maybe an impossible quest, I might be hankering after a dress that doesn't exist.

its a lovely dress and probably very flattering for a tall willowy girl with a ...ahem.....boyish figure

just like the model in fact Grin

just not me Sad

the shorter length for fine for me and I'm 5'5''

notobvious · 24/09/2010 15:07

I can't afford it either - still not on the web site but it is in the "film" of the collection on the front of the site, oh dear.

FiveOrangePips · 24/09/2010 16:49

I feel like I have looked everywhere I can, maybe something will come out nearer Christmas, I just want one now . I did find some websites I haven't seen before in my quest.

Something relaxed and not too fitted, nothing too fashion conscious but not frumpy, and obviously it won't make me look like Hattie Jacques - not too much to ask surely?

I might have found a possible dress here

What do you think, do I go for burgundy or mole? And what is Kew sizing like?

I think the Phase8 one might be worth a punt. I'm a 32F and I'd definitely try that one, as long as I had a suitable iron-clad bra Smile.
That looks to be the only one that isn't potentially swamping or putting a waist in at the wrong place.

Kew one worth a try but I think the pockets would look bulky.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 24/09/2010 19:23

Maybe a bit frumpy? Looks like it'd hide your waist, assuming you go in there.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 24/09/2010 20:00

Devore? < doesn't know how to do accents >

FiveOrangePips · 24/09/2010 20:22

whatswrongwithyou I could try the phase eight one on, it is one of very few shops we have in this very remote part of the world. I am not keen on the M&S one, or the La Redoute one, but cheers for looking.

If I can get into town tomorrow at least I could try the phase eight one on, if it isn't right I could order the Kew one.

Saw a very pretty silvery grey one in Debenhams today - in their Rocha.John Rocha range. Not on the website though I'm afraid, so can't post a link.
