Any thoughts please? Just a simple, good-quality v-neck sweater - maybe two - in a bright colour? And to buy online because I hate shopping.

net-a-porter.com?

Vince and Crumpet have some nice cashmere stuff...

Brora is mega £££, but their stuff lasts forever (as long as you look after it properly). I have a jumper that's 8 years old that literally looks as good as new, and it's a really bright blue.

Thanks all - it suddenly occurred to me, that as I'm a shortarse (with short arms) it'd be safer to go for a petite range.

So I've ordered this in black and grape.

(I know I said bright colour, but the black should go with everything)

Love the description "Low but not louche V-neck"

orchardlime I don't want to spoil the enjoyment of your buy, but I have to say I bought a cashmere cardigan from landsend once, and it went bobbly and shapeless after only a few wears - was a real waste of money.

If you can stretch to Brora it's a million times better quality and will last forever
