actually changed my mind about snow boots must have been a good photo in mag.

don't know but seems to be a lot about and worn with dresses????

snoozathon · 20/09/2010 22:08

Noo they can't be over, I love them! I only ever buy cheapo ones though, the £6 ones from Primark last about half a winter before they soak through and fall apart, so I just get a new pair Grin I would like Uggs, but I'm not convinced I wouldn't wear them in the rain and trash them on the first wear.

superv1xen · 21/09/2010 08:37

snoozathon real uggs last for ages and ages and are soooo comfy. damn i really want some!

NotFromConcentrate · 21/09/2010 13:10

I have just witnessed my friend 'adapt' her wardrobe for Atumn/Winter by wearing a grey and lack striped mazi dress (complete with short sleeves) with grey Uggs Shock

I am clearly Out Of Touch.

NotFromConcentrate · 21/09/2010 13:11

Oh dear, maybe I should 'adapt' my typing Blush

That would be a grey and black striped maxi dress Grin

corygal · 21/09/2010 14:03

Strike a light Notfrom, your friend's look was the very one I was rocking at the weekend. I am well pleased with myself and ignoring yr shocked face - I expect you meant to use the 'Broken with admiration' emoticon.

I also recommend updating the summer's jersey maxi with a gilet or man's cardi. Add twice-wrapped thin leather belt if you feel like it.

Uggs aren't on the wane, principally because the real ones are £200 and ain't no one going to bin them for a while yet. Also dreamy comfort. The best ones IMHO are:

Shearling boots last for years and years - the best. TK do them cheapest.

Wool-lined are less expensive but last 2 years or so.

The fake ones are prob the best in terms of cost-per-wear (esp if you Primark it) but no who can be, eeh, fragrant of foot.

superv1xen · 21/09/2010 14:47

i like the sound of that look cory (maxi with gilet)

MrsC2010 · 21/09/2010 15:26

My Uggs have lasted about 5 yrs, they're still going but looking a little dodge. I know they're not pretty, and not that stylish, but I love them for slobbing around, wandering along beaches in winter and walking the dogs. I am thinking about buying another pair!

LauraNorder · 21/09/2010 17:28

I ask because I saw a really nice pair of Emu boots in a local shop recently and I am so tempted - think they will be so cozy warm on the school runs!

personally i prefer uggs, emu's dont quite cut it for me! -fashion snob emoticon-

but i deffo don't think uggs (or similar) are over at all, so if you like them you should buy them :)
