Fancy dress party!

messybedhead · 18/09/2010 23:26

This is the first time I will have been to a fancy dress party, and we can only dress up as something beginning with J, R or S.

My sister has ordered the Sandy as cheerleader from Grease outfit.

I've seen some supergirl, snow white, red riding hood costumes online...

but well was hoping you lot could help me put together a more stylish costume- if that is possible.

Thanks

Ha! I was going to post about fancy dress.

I'd go Roman. You can still look chic. How about this dress plus accessories and gladiator sandals.

muminthemiddle · 18/09/2010 23:35

Judy Garland as Dorothy?
or Rolf Harris????!!!!
Spiderman
Sooty, Sweep or Sue
a spotty dog.

Why does it have to J, R or S?

QueeferSutherland · 18/09/2010 23:36

Judge Judy?

messybedhead · 18/09/2010 23:38

Ooh I have that dress in red, can I be a red roman or does it need to be white do you think.

I've got gold gladiators and could buy "this head dress cgi.ebay.co.uk/GOLD-LEAF-ROMAN-CAESAR-GREEK-HEAD-PIECE-FANCY-DRESS-/280427955877?pt=Adult_Fancy_Dress_UK&hash=item414acf06a5#ht_500wt_1154"

They are the intials of the party host.

Hmm I still want to look half decent, I'll be travelling on London transport on my own to get there.

You can definitely be Roman in red. You will look stunning.

muminthemiddle · 18/09/2010 23:43

I suppose going as Rocky from the Rocky Horror Show would be a bit ott then?

QueeferSutherland · 18/09/2010 23:45

Red would be stunning!

I'd go for those platted head thigs they sold in New Look last year, but the leaves will look ace with gold sandals and jewlery.

You could cover up with a cape or wrap and cary a pouch.

I get far to into fancy dress.Blush

Ha I don't think I've got the confidence to go out like that on my own muminthemiddle!

Have you read the clevage thread?
You could go as Jackie Smith.Grin

messybedhead · 18/09/2010 23:47

Ok I'm liking this red roman idea. I have one of those plait things but my DD has put it somewhere but I'll be able to pick up another one I hope.

Keep going Queefer I am useless!
