About a month ago you linked to some wide leg Wallis jeans.

I thought about them for 2 weeks, then bought them. After all, they were not very pricey.

I have not stopped wearing them. They are fabulous. They are perfect for work (on Fridays anyway) and a great alternative to proper scruffy jeans on Mummy days.

I would never have gone into Wallis otherwise. You are a superstar.

Thank you!

Blush

I am pretty much living in mine too. How'd have thought it, eh?

DuchessOfAvon · 19/09/2010 09:21

Or Who'd even. Double Blush

Amanderrr · 19/09/2010 12:04

I tried them on too. They're very flattering aren't they.

I didn't buy them as I wasn't sure what shoes I'd wear with them. I tried them on instore with a high clog. Just the one though. Had to take it to the changing room with me as I was in ballet flats at the time and they just skimmed the floor.

What are you wearing on your feet?

PlumSykes · 19/09/2010 12:17

Link!

Amanderrr · 19/09/2010 12:35

These are the ones I tried on. I don't think I saw the origianl thread but I think these must be the ones as I can't see any other wide legged denims.

Actually, if I'd just seen that photo I wouldn't even consider them as they make the flat tummied mannequin look like she's just been to an all you can eat pasta buffet but they looked good on the hanger and they looked fine on me. I'm just 5'4" but thanks to heels (Heel, singular really) and the high waist they made my legs look quite long.

DuchessOfAvon · 19/09/2010 20:18

Yup those are the ones.

I wore them with heels for a girls night out and then with heeled boots. But I think I am going to have to take them up a touch to make them totally compatible wth my winter boots - both pairs have a flatter heel to facilitate pram pushing and toddler-pursuit.

pinkbasket · 19/09/2010 20:21

What is so special about them? I am getting bored with my current jeans.

CrispyTheCrisp · 19/09/2010 20:25

Do these come up small or large? IIRC Wallis are usually on the roomy side - is that the same for these?

DuchessOfAvon · 19/09/2010 21:10

They fit pear shapes. No waistband gaping at the back - none at all.

And they are a good classic cut - made me feel long-limbed and elegant which is no mean feat given that I am both stumpy and large-of-arse.

(THe stumpiness may also account for my requirment to take the hems up a tad)

Crispy - neither I think. They just fit.

BikeRunSki · 19/09/2010 22:09

Crispy - I'd say a little small if anything.

I have been wearing mine very casually with flat boots and various long sleeved Ts.

I am quite tall (5'8") but chunky of leg. And tummy. And norks. My ears are quite slim...
