Well i went from dark brown to bleached blonde (white) and ruined my hair..oops. I've now purchased some hair colour and i'm attempting to go back brown, i've been told i'll need to dye it bright red first (gulp) so i've bought the bright red then put the brown on after this...i'm also going to try and leave a little blonde in and a little of the red in so i have brown hair with blonde and red highlights!! oh god..wish me luck!!

Good luck, but I'd advise going to a professional due to the many posts on here along the lines of "help I dyed my hair and it's turned black/green/orange/patchy...." Let us know how it turns out.

well i'm proud of myself! Had to dye it bright red first so when i put the brown on it didnt go green. Looks good,a bit lighter than what i wanted but i've heard somewhere that its best to go a little bit darker bit by bit. Gonna re-do it a bit darker in a week or so as i imagine this colour will fade really quick.

thats what i was scared of as it was very light blonde pretty much white before i started.Researched it online and it said to dye my hair back red then brown but not too dark as my hair wouldnt have no red in it...it certainly has now its very red / light brown but i like it. Got my eye on a marron red next...plus best bit the red dye only cost £2.49 from superdrug and its the best i've used!1
