Camel skirt?

RunLyraRun · 16/09/2010 15:25

I'm looking for a camel skirt - ideally fine wool, ideally pencil, like this. Can't get that one as am nowhere near a Fenwick's.

Any ideas please? Willing to spend £40-80 dependent upon how closely it matches my requirements and its general gorgeousness!

I was about to start the exact same thread Grin

The only one I was able to find was this one but I'm not sure it's the one IYSWIM...

Whistles has a nice one but is £££- Caroline jersey pencil skirt

I've been looking for a camel skirt too! Seen this- like pockets but too short. Unless that model has very long legs and I don't like Next much anyway.

tethersend · 16/09/2010 16:39

That one would be perfect if it were 4" longer Angry

missbeehiving · 16/09/2010 16:40

This looks quite OK

noddyholder · 16/09/2010 16:40

zara has one i think.

missbeehiving · 16/09/2010 16:46

This one Nods?

noddyholder · 16/09/2010 16:53

Yes thats lovely

RunLyraRun · 16/09/2010 17:48

The CK one is just about perfect MissB - if only they had my size :(.

I tried the Next one on the other day. Not only is it too short, it is unlined, the leatherette bits are very plasticky, the seams are all bulky, and the hem looks - what's the technical term for it? - oh yes, shit. So don't worry tether, you aren't missing out based on length alone!

Phew Grin

cheers everyone - couldn't bear to have camel next to the face so this is a fab idea.

RunLyraRun · 19/09/2010 14:33

Exactly why I posted, restless - I have dark blond hair and yellow-toned skin, so camel near my face is just awful, so draining. It's a shame as I would love a camel coat, they can be so expensive-looking without being very expensive, IYKWIM.

I haven't had any luck with the skirt yet, but the wool trousers from Next are really good fit/quality/style. They are quite high waisted with a v.narrow belt, which will work well with a smart white shirt tucked in for work.

There are more instore in Zara too, more pencil type skirts

Faaamily · 20/09/2010 08:45

have a look on Debenhams online. They carry a lot of the same stuff as Fenwicks.

RunLyraRun · 20/09/2010 10:20

Thanks very much, I will check out Zara and Debenhams.
