Does anyone know if H&M have discontinued their Big is Beautiful range in the UK? I just went into my local store and can't find it.

It's online- here

AvengingGerbil · 16/09/2010 14:07

Thank you tethers - that must be new! I looked for them online last week and they didn't have a site!

Doesn't remove the irritatingness of not being able to try anything on though - I guess H&M are another store who find fat people do not fit their image.

I'm not keen on that range anyway- really odd clothes and poor quality IMO... Are you looking for something in particular?

AvengingGerbil · 16/09/2010 14:16

I need: a sweater/cardigan that is warm; trousers that are neither jeans nor formal but also warmer than the linen things I've been wearing for the past two years and are now falling apart; some sort of top things that are tidy and not floaty/hippy but not completely gran-like; a waterproof coat; in fact, I could do with throwing out everything I own and starting again, but the trousers and jumper are the most pressing issue.

If I shop in Evans I seem to be a size 26/28; the most recent trousers I bought (formal) from Windsmoor were a 22. I have not changed size in between times!

Any help gratefully received!

H&M only seem to do the BiB range in certain stores. I live in Budapest and it opened here 2 years ago. No BiB. But they have it in Vienna!

Some of it is rubbish but you can get the odd nice thing. I find their summer stuff better than their winter stuff.

For your waterproof coat have a look at the Land's End site. I have bought a few things from them and it is not bad. I am a 20 in Evans jeans at the moment and a 22 in M&S. In Lands End I buy some things from the Plus range and some from the normal range.

Thanks Buda, I'll look at Lands End.

My local is Reading, which stocked BiB until they refitted the store recently. It is possibly still there, but if so it is well hidden!

Have you had a look at Asos?

AvengingGerbil · 17/09/2010 10:16

tether, I'd never heard of Asos; it has potential! Thanks.
