That's it really! Please can anyone recommend a good foundation/powder/concealer/combo to mask my hideous face (well zits at least) whilst not perpetuating the problem?

Thank you mumsnetters, thank you.

Revlon colorstay - I don't need powder and concealer with this. Only foundation that doesn't break me out. You need to wear a good moisturiser under it though like keihls (but this may break you out so watch out). Make sure you remove it well - I have to double cleanse, otherwise pores get blocked. HTH

Clinique have launched an anti-blemish foundation and I think my skin is definitely better since I started using it. Blends nicely too.

KMS mineral foundation. My skin had improved after children but I still get the odd breakout before my period. This powder foundation is much better to apply as I don't have to run my hands over my face, but use a brush. And you can choose slight coverage or layer it on and get a really good coverage. I get it online from the US.

Laura Mercier mineral foundation.
Very good coverage and yet NEVER causes my incredibly sensitive skin any problems.
Their concealer is good too.

If you buy it go and have a consultation/lesson. If you don't put it on right it isn't as good

Thanks very much for your ideas ladies! I had a go at the clinique anti-blemish one and the colour was perfect... but it didn't give me enough coverage, booo! I'm off to town on saturday to have a laura mercier make over so fingers crossed! I might try the revlon one too though as its so cheap.

myboyshavedogsnames - can you get KMS in the UK? Just thinking in terms of what shade to go for.

Cheers!

Estee Lauder Doublewear, or Double Wear Light: both excellent and good staying power and coverage. You can also do with brush. Am make uo floozy, but have remained faithful to this for years nowGrin

I swear by Lillylolo mineral foundation powder, doesnt clog and keeeps skin matte but not cakey looking, they send out testers so you can sample first.

I had the same issue BIG time and I tend to go for foundations with non-comedogenic ingredients even now (btw makeupalley.com is really good for product reviews and you can select the reviews by skin-type). The best I've tried are Bare Minerals powder foundation, MAC Studio Fix liquid and Studio Fix powder, agree with EL Double Wear, Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk, Chanel Lift Lumiere... I guess you want medium to full coverage otherwise I would recommend Laura Mercier Oil-Free tinted moisturizer as well. Concealer: Dermablend is good if you want v full coverage and Laura Mercier Secret Camoflage concealer is the best imo.
