Fake Ponytail advice

Before we kick off, I know they're not the classiest of accessories, but I've got one that's half decent for a party on Friday but have a problem.
I've got v fine hair which is long but so, so thin, and would like to wear it up with a long curly ponytail, but when I clip the fake pony on top there's a big gap where the claw clip doesn't meet at the top.
What can I do, short of sticking a flower in it or something?!

Some kind of ribbon wrapped round to cover the gap?

HinnyPet · 16/09/2010 00:32

Unpick it from the claw clip and pin it round your ponytail. Get some of your own hair from under the ponytail, wrap around the fake one and pin it in.

Hinny, genius idea! I wondred if a smaller claw clip might work, but just pinning it on would work much better I think.

Thanks MN, you rock!

Out of interest where did you get it from?

HinnyPet · 16/09/2010 17:19

Got mine from beautyhairaccent on ebay!

BibiThree · 16/09/2010 21:11

ok will have a look - thanks. How did you know it was going to be the right colour or decent quality?

HinnyPet · 17/09/2010 15:03

It was £6.99, came from Canada :) so I wasn't too bothered. It's plastic hair! Grin

I thought that too - my hair is highlighted to hell and back so didn't want to fork out for a really expensive one as I'm cutting my hair off soon anyway and hopefulyl going back to my natural colour.
