New boots

I want to get some new boots, they must
be flat (ish)
in grey or brown or black
with zips on side
be calf or knee length
cost under £70

I usually wear dresses or skirts so not too bothered about how they look with jeans etc

The V Westwood ones on here recently were lovely

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

We need help. Please help us with your wonderful suggestions or at least some fabulous sites to begin the long, long search!

Thanks Sharbie Smile

Just bought these Clarks boots.

Very comfortable and the non slip sole means I won't end up in casualty this Autumn.

At £75.00 they're a little over your budget but if you enter BTS2010 you'll get 20% off, which makes them just £60.00 and it's free delivery until Oct 3rd.

Penethea · 16/09/2010 20:23

Ooh, I've just been wondering about these - although I think they're the only long boots they have under £70.

sharbie · 16/09/2010 20:26

thank you thank you they are both lovely and bargains too

Thank you, I too like both of them but think I will get the Clarks ones. Happy days! Smile

MissisBoot · 18/09/2010 17:46

Amanderr - how wide are those Clarks boots - they look as if they are quite generous.

Amanderrr · 19/09/2010 00:02

MissisBoot - I don't ever have trouble zipping boots up so I think I'd be classed as a slim to average calf size and I can do them up easily over skinnies.

Hope that helps. Smile

Actually, I'll measure them for you around the calf but it'll have to be tomorrow as the measuring tape is in the kitchen and I'm too lazy it's too cold to venture downstairs now.

MissisBoot · 19/09/2010 11:57

That would be great - thanks :)

Amanderrr · 19/09/2010 12:14

Hi again,

I measured just under the wide band at the top of the boot and the circumference is 14inches. There's also a section of elastic at the back which you can see on the Clarks website if you look at the back view photo.

MissisBoot · 19/09/2010 19:28

Thank you - mine measure 15" at the top - grrrr - I think they might just be too small - not sure if I can bear the humiliation of trying them on in the shop - but the free returns code may well make it worth it.

FortunateHamster · 19/09/2010 23:30

MissisBoot I tried a size five on of the same boots in the shop yesterday (over thin leggings) and they fit fine, and I'm measuring around 15"+. I want a pair that can fit over skinny jeans/jeggings and am struggling to find any that aren't too loose in the foot area. Wish I'd worn jeans yesterday now as would've liked to have seen if the boots could've stretched further.

MissisBoot · 20/09/2010 15:21

Right - have ordered - wish me luck!

Amanderrr · 20/09/2010 15:28

Good luck! Grin

sharbie · 20/09/2010 15:37

Do you know if the Clarks discount is still valid? It won't let me complete the transaction.

Thanks
