Comfy yoga/roll-top trousers for end of PG - recommendations please!

I am nearing the end of my pg (32 weeks) and in the last few days have found that my jeans (topshop under-bump and H&M over-bump) are suddenly totally and utterly uncomfy, and I would like to get a pair of really comfy yoga-type trousers to see me through to the end, to wear with tight tanks and cardis.

Ideally, I'd like something that can be worn out of the house without feeling like a complete frump. I'll probably wear them a lot, so they will need to wash well. Although I do have fairly slim legs, I am suffering a bit of water-retention so looser than tighter would be preferable.

Thanks very, very much in advance!

I got some really nice linen trousers from Jojo Maman Bebe - the waist was sort of under bump and really really roomy. They were wide legged and really comfy. I got fed up of my jeans which were cutting into me around the zip - these just had ties.

A bit like these

I'll own up to buying ASDA cheap wide-leg jogging pants which I think were £4 or £6 or something. They'll be fab post-natally too - they have a drawstring waist. Not exactly stylish but as comfy cheap basics go there's nothing wrong with them.

Sweaty Betty warrior pant or Indulge
Yes that does describe the price too!

moragbellingham · 15/09/2010 13:55

I've had mine for 2,3,4 years and they're still going strong and occasionally go to the supermarket in them.
They're also good for bump warming in winter.

Thanks for the suggestions - am liking the sweaty betty warrior ones. Does anyone know about Hush sizing? Have seen these ones too which may fit the bill.

I had these, wore them to death, then passed on to two friends and they still look good as new. Smart enough to wear with pumps and feel nice, comfy as hell with big socks and slippers.

I am still wearing my M&S ones at 34 weeks. They cost in the region of a tenner. I would like but the M&S website always makes everything look really ropey. They look like the sweaty betty indulge ones.

MorrisZapp · 15/09/2010 15:30

I have truly fab ones from M&S, thing is that they are really pyjamas and I wouldn't wear them outdoors I think.

They are mid blue with a stripy fold over bit, currently £18 in pyjama department. They are soft, comforting and supportive beyond belief. Can't wait to wear them with flat tummy in three weeks too (hollow laughter).

I lived in the black seraphine roll top trousers for the last 6 weeks of my second pregnancy - and the first 4 weeks afterwards (when uterus was still contracting so looked pregnant anyway)

dairymoo · 15/09/2010 18:07

Thanks, tried the Sweaty Betty ones on today but they actually made me look bigger than I am in the leg dept which wasn't great. Please link to the M&S ones Flora - I have one really near me so could pop in easily and see what they fit like.

The Picchu ones look lovely but are a little more than I want to spend. Seraphine look perfect, does anyone have a discount code? Grin

If you are a small size, someone is selling a pair of the Picchu ones on Ebay here

dairymoo · 15/09/2010 19:35

OOh thanks! Smile Do you know how they come up? I am 8-10 pre-preg but prob 10 for most maternity stuff...

There are some lovely trews in the Hush catalogue I have just received, I wanted to buy everything and flop about

PlumSykes · 16/09/2010 12:21

I think the Ebay ones would be about right. I bought the next size up, and am a 12 normally, a 12-14 when PG, and I would say they came up fairly big.

Bumperlicious · 16/09/2010 13:13

I love Hush, I want everything in it! Loungewear is just the ultimate luxury for me :)

I've been living in Primark £3 trackies for the past few weeks and they are fine.

These white stuff ones get really good reviews.

dairymoo · 18/09/2010 08:39

PlumSykes, I won the ebay ones for 99p - thanks for the heads up! Smile

I lived in these and they were so comfy that I bought smaller sizes after pg and I now wear them to work!

amidaiwish · 18/09/2010 09:01

sweaty betty
my kids are 6 and nearly 5 and i am still wearing them
sooooooooooooooooooo comfy

PlumSykes · 19/09/2010 12:04

Yippee! Hope you love them x

dairymoo · 23/09/2010 09:29

They've arrived and are lovely - but sooooooooooo long. I'm 5'6" with long legs and about 2" drag on the floor. Did you find this, they are probably easy to shorten though.
