what can I wear with my purple straightleg jeans?

Bought some lovely rich purple jeans but I am stuck on what to wear with.

I can't do black (it makes me look like death)

I was thinking a warm slate grey or even grey marl.

Any other ideas?

Mustard!

A pink boob tube.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 15/09/2010 13:38

Where'd you get them from?

Both of the above, plus many of the 'summer' or 'winter' colours: shades of navy, some browns, taupes, even some pinks and reds. Depends on how much contrast you like, or whether you prefer to be more blended.

Now, I thought GerOrf would be here to recommend 'no knickers'. [cat's bum emoticon]

(GetOrf, I am so not going to let that one go!)

Grin poledra! I DARE you to go and put some jeans on commando - it's liberating.

You made me laugh on the other thread when you said i went commando - another MN said something along the lines of 'I thought poledra was joking, i can't believe you really go commando Shock'

Heehee

:o @ "pink boob tube" suggestion

Thanks for replies. Sadly can't do mustard either for same reason as black.

Hadn't thought about navy or brown. Have several tops & knits in those colours so will have a trying on session. Was concerned pink may look too "Boden" (particularly as jeans are from Boden Blush ) but will also give it a go - I am assuming more magenta shades than pastel, right?

Euphemia - I still have the tags attached in case I need to return. Hope it won't come to that though.

Thanks again people :)

I wear lots of purple and agree with the ideas of grey, navy and taupe/brown.

Love the sound of the jeans - might have to take a look Grin

I had purple trousers and wore them with grey and navy knits and you can try certain browns; caramel is supposed to be a hot colour this season :)
