Like these but ankle height? Brown leather, chunkyish, low heel. Less than £100 preferably.

How about thesenot buckly enough?

PlumSykes · 14/09/2010 17:06

too short?

BusyMissIzzy · 14/09/2010 17:07

They're the right shape, but still quite high (up leg I mean), and I'm not keen on the red zip. Thanks though.

Too rounded at the toe Grin I know, I'm fussy, but I have this image in my head...

cheap and cheerful

Besom · 14/09/2010 17:23

These?

BusyMissIzzy · 14/09/2010 17:31

Not bad... both quite close. I prefer leather though (want them to last a long time), and Besom I'm looking for something a bit chunkier. Thanks both :)

Thanks tethersend :) I like the Dune ones actually, even if they're not exactly what I had in mind.

Love the thread - I'm currently on the look out for exactly the same sort of boot, only in black - getting some good ideas here!

BusyMissIzzy · 14/09/2010 22:07

Greenshadow I spotted a banner ad on here for Hush Puppies, thought these were nice. Not sure about the brown (for me) though. 10% off with MN code too!

Those are just the thing BMI, but I have never bought boots or shoes online - would always want to try them on first. Luckily plenty of places sell Hush Puppies.

BusyMissIzzy · 14/09/2010 22:12

I know what you mean, shoe sizes can vary so much and it's not like with clothes where you can get away with 'close enough'. Some places do free shipping and free returns so you can send stuff back. You could always try them in a shop then order online to get the discount?
