Decent Man Bag ?

DH's birthday is fast approaching and I have no ideas what to get him. The only idea he came up with is a man bag - but a small ish one - which I confess to scoffing at. But now can't think of anything else to get so,

1. Will he get laughed at

and

2. anyone know of any decent smallish (i.e. smaller than messenger bag) man bags ??

No he won't......suppose depends on the man..if he feels awkward with his new bag..
Markies had lots of nice manbags was looking for my DH too. My DH carries so much stuff about with him he needs it...What about a nice backpack...bit more "manly"?

They no longer have the one I bought but it was slightly smaller than a standard size man bag and he loves it - defo not been laughed at, and in fact has been complimented on it quite a lot!

How about a bag that is not so obviously a man bag - more of a utilitarian bag with an obvious industrial use? I had a canvas gamekeeper bag as a student.

I decided to go for a x-small north face messenger bag - the leather ones look lovely actually but I'll see if he uses it first. He is insisting I don't spend much on his birthday so I am only too happy to oblige. Then he can have a better one if he wants/uses it for christmas !!
