camisole/vest tops

Help please

I have a number of really nice tops that are just a bit too low for most everyday situations. Ideal solution would seem to be wearing some kind of camisole/vest top underneath. Looks ok when other people use layers like that.
BUT any time I try this the cami just slips about - rides up and down - often leaving me only marginally less exposed than I was before. Have tried wearing bigger and smaller sizes - but both create unappealing lines in the wrong place.
Feel there must be one that will stay in place. Is the solution in the make or fabric? Have even thought of getting a silk one - but reluctant to spend the money unless anyone has tried and they reallly are better.

I've not tried one myself, but I have seen those triangles of lace/fabric that clips to your bra.

  • do you know what I'm on about?
I don't know if they're any good.

Actually I quite like the vests that are lycra -ish/jersey

I have loads from Primarni that are made from some kind of synthetic fabric that clings to you - sort of sportswear rather than cotton. They do them in loads of different colours and being Primark cost peanuts. They don't ride anywhere, but then I am of average norkedge.
