I challenge you...cheap, nice party shoes, size 9

My friend is going to a ball, and being a size 9 is quite limited in her shoe choice. She's not over-bothered by fashion either, to say the least, but would like to look suitably attired for the ball and so is prepared to not wear the low-heeled black suede court shoes that she has worn to every 'smart' occasion for about the last ten years!

Please help me find her a half-decent pair of shoes to wear. She's wearing a floor length sea-green silk dress (fab charity-shop find), and needs heels so it doesn't drag on the floor. She is a statuesque size 12, probably quite a wide fitting. She won't buy them if they're expensive, so I've been looking at New Look type places, and Ebay, but not come up with anything good yet.

I've said I'll send her links and she can buy. Thanks!

big shoe boutique.
can't link as the site is down at the moment.

Evans do larger sizes and aren't expensive.

The Big Shoe site is fab, loads of funky styles for her to go for.

I think yours, Bishoplyn, are a bit far from her usual colourful DMs/Birkenstocks style, but thank you for looking.

If it helps, she is tall, with long dreadlocks, prone to wearing rainbow colours, but works in a high-powered job where thankfully for her, her style doesn't have to be toned down too much!
