Evening ladies,
Can I court some advice? I have ditched the bootcut jeans and am embarking on a 'new me' for this autumn/winter. I am really hoping to get a nice knitted tunic and like the look of this or this.
Does anyone have either of them?
I am size 10 (ish) - planning to go for a size small (living in hope?!) with dd up top and slightly chunky thighs - I don't want something really baggy that will make me look pregnant or like I'm trying to hide- but nothing too skimpy either!
Any advice gratefully received,

VMT

I looked pregnant in the first one when I tried it on, but I do have massive boobs.

I haven't tried the second one.

I bought this one in the end, in blue, for layering over a vest top.

do you mean a working class tunic?

Millie1 · 14/09/2010 22:05

Haven't tried the first one but the second was, for me, a bit too jumper like as it nipped in at the bottom - as a jumper would. I ended up with this which is lovely on - am also a 10 and a small was a good fit. Also tried this but it made me look about 5 months pregnant Hmm

I have [http://www.thewhitecompany.com/productdetails.aspx?Id=1000817&ItemNo=JECDU&SelectedItem=JECDU this] which Millie linked to, is very flattering on me (hourglass) and accentuates boobs/small waist

Small should be perfect if you're a 10.

AuldAlliance · 14/09/2010 22:46

Agree with Millie about the one in her second link; it's huge round the lower half, and has ill-placed pockets.

Made me look about three sizes bigger round the hips than I really am.

happilyeverafter · 14/09/2010 22:46

Oh my linking is hideous tonight. I meant this one

Fabulous, many thanks ladies- you confirmed my fears re looking pregnant and advised me on a suitable alternative (thanks Millie) - I'm off shopping now! :-)

I have the second one in xs and it looks nice. Will wear with tights and boots.

I have tried on most WC tunics in store except the last link which seems to be out of stock now in shops.

They were all too big and much like a dress. I am size 8-10 and 5'3". Very unflattering in terms of looking PGs.

I am currently wearing a Boden empire line tunic in the grey/black mix.

I am looking for more tunics.
