Okay, so I'm pushing the boundaries of Style and Beauty here, but where can I buy a Chinese fan for DD1. It's her birthday on Thurs and she's been asking for one all weekend. I'm in Glasgow and don't have much time so don't want to risk the internet. Chinese supermarket? Help please! Thanks.

china town (if you have such a place) chinese supermarket, claires accessories maybe?

I think you need a Chinese gift shop (the ones that sell clothing, ornaments etc.), but you might get one in a Chinese supermarket.

You'd maybe get one in See Woo in Maryhill.
Or that bizarre shop that seems to sell bits of everything near trongate- with the really naff window?
You could try the Chinese supermarket thing in the east end but I have a feeling eBay might be your best/nicest choice.
Or why don't you buy some plain silk and some watercolours and she can make her own faux Chinese painted fan.(I mean the flat paddle ones).
