I got some new back trousers - seams were threatening to spilt on old ones. They go nicely with my new balck pointy shoes - got them for free from a friend who didn't fit them :o

And some new black boot, I won;t tell you about them as you will all kill me and ay they should be burned Wink

Oh and some tights - how autumnal!

Black and purple heattech legging! I love Heattech!

happilyeverafter · 12/09/2010 21:42

Black patent ballet flats from Next. Not exciting but will go with lots of winter outfits.

Oh and just ordered some cashmere wristwarmers from Pure Collection with the 25% off - really looking forward to these arriving!

FairyLightsForever · 12/09/2010 21:44

A winter coat, in the charity shop for £7! Grin

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 21:47

bag from cath kidston, or rather dh did for my bday.

BelligerentGhoul · 12/09/2010 21:49

I tried to buy -
a dress;
some work trousers;
a work jacket;
some shoes.

I ended up buying -

2 picture frames and a bag of salad.

Happily Ever After - dp bought me some cashmere wristwarmers for Christmas last year and I love them.

happilyeverafter · 12/09/2010 21:58

Oh BG that is just what I needed to hear to justify them as 'essentials'

Dexter what is the deal with heattech? Is this an essential I have yet to discover?

DuchessOfAvon · 12/09/2010 22:00

Splurged in GAP thanks to the 30% voucher - a burgundy cord skirt, two V neck sweaters and a loopy scarf thing.

And a parka and some riding boots from M&S.

Did quite well really. Grin

happilyeverafter · 12/09/2010 22:02

Which M&S riding boots did you get Duchess? I have my eye on some brown beauties but am waiting until I can get instore as am unsure how they size up.

Ronaldinhio · 12/09/2010 22:03

Heattech is a thermal material from Uniqlo. I lived in their tops last winter and they kept me nice and warm. The material is nice and thin and the tops come in loads of different colours. It washes well and keeps it's shape and is a good price.

happilyeverafter · 12/09/2010 22:09

Sounds absolutely essential Dexter, how do they size up? I am tall/long arms so some tops aren't long enough,

dexter73 · 12/09/2010 22:10

Arms are a good length. I get medium and am a size 12. Got medium for the leggings too.

DuchessOfAvon · 12/09/2010 22:14

here they are happily

Quite close fitting - I found some of the others were a bit welly-like round the ankle. I havered over a more cowbooty pair but they were a touch baggy round the calf.

happilyeverafter · 12/09/2010 23:51

Will give them a whirl Dexter, thanks.

Duchess, yes those are lovely, not available in m size online though.

CrispyTheCrisp · 12/09/2010 23:54

this bag and these boots

No idea if they are 'in fashion'. Just liked them Smile

MrsC2010 · 13/09/2010 10:25

A gorgeous coat from TK Maxx Blush in a stunning dark pink/purple colour. Sounds odd, but is lovely, pure wool/cashmere, reduced from £230 to £79. Bargaintastic.

A pair of knee high leather boots for £50 again from TK Maxx. Really unusual, but flat soled and thick, quality leather which was just what I was after.

4 wk old DD got a dress and cardi there too.

Happilyeverafter and BelligerentGhoul I love my cashmere wrist warmers, can't wait for it to be chilly enough to wear them!

I was sorely tempted by a lovely cord skirt and some great knitwear in Gap, but given I am on maternity leave and have zero cash I decided I had splurged enough! Did convince DH he needed so new work trousers so bought 2 pairs with the 30% off. He looks great. Grin

littlemissindecisive · 13/09/2010 11:23

I got these boots a massive handbag to double up as a change bag, a beige fine knit cardi and white vest top.

Still looking for a waterproof non-hiking coat!
