Personally I prefer the first pair. Tan is a versatile colour and I think you could wear them with skirts/dresses or with jeans tucked in.

colette · 12/09/2010 21:22

I think the brown suede looks richer iykwim

FlyMeToDunoon · 12/09/2010 21:23

I like both but would go for the darker colours.

MrsShrekTheThird · 12/09/2010 21:25

I like boots to go well up my calf, so the first one for me. The second looks a tad short. I suppose it might depend on how long your legs are tho Grin

franke · 12/09/2010 21:26

I tried the first ones on last year and found them really baggy at the bottom and tight on the calf. The second ones look nice.

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 21:27

yes franke im wondering if they look a little baggy. i have short legs. i wish could order these in store as im not sure what size to go for but unfortunately for some reason clarks originals are home del only.

I prefer the first ones.

Can I also pass on a Clarks code given by another mumsnetter

BTS2010 which gives you 20% of adults shoes and boots until 3 October.

I have ordered the Mascapone tan knee highs. Tried them on in store and they are gorgeous.

franke · 12/09/2010 21:32

I think you can order them to pick up from a store and then give them back to the store if they're no good - so it's not like you're shelling out for loads of postage. Go for it.

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 21:34

i don't mind the postage i was going to order four pairs of boots tho (i.e each pair in two different sizes) but don't think my bank balance could take that!

OP posts:
summery · 12/09/2010 21:34

Meant to say the code also gives free postage

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 21:37

Thanks for the code, have got that too, when i bought ds2's school shoes

You don't need to pay in advance. [http://www.clarks.co.uk/HelpandInfo/CustomerCareCollectFromStore Here.]]

franke · 12/09/2010 21:40

here Blush

nicolamumof3 · 12/09/2010 21:44

they won't do that style tho to collect from store unfortunately, either style Sad

Like the forst pair, in fact I might invest in them myself

Amanderrr · 12/09/2010 23:19

I like both pairs.

The first pair is similar to the Frye boots I like but I think the second pair would look better with skirts. The tan ones would look best with leggings.

OP - Noticed on your profile you're in Tonbridge. My DP has been working near Tonbridge in Hadlow and on Friday came home convinced he'd seen a puma big black cat running through an orchard. I've Googled but can't find any other sightings. He also said he'd seen a two foot snake dash across the road in East Peckham on the same day so I'm a little concerned he's seeing things. I mean, a snake in a sleepy Kent village is one thing but a Puma too?

Have you heard any stories recently of wild cats roaming locally?

I know that seeing mice where there aren't any can be a sign of dementia. Lord knows what seeing phantom snakes and big cats is a sign of.

Amanderrr · 12/09/2010 23:23

Summery - Thank you for the code.

Just ordered these and these and saved about £30.00. Grin

summery · 13/09/2010 10:54

Amanderr happy to pass it on

MrsShrekTheThird · 13/09/2010 21:39

just came back to check on the thread - thank you! for the discount code, I was envying some shoes (birthday treat to self, heheee) but couldn't justify. But with a tenner off....Grin

nicolamumof3 · 13/09/2010 21:52

Amanderr...have had tales of large black cats actually in these parts! so he could be correct!! Grin

still no further forward on deciding on boots grrr!
