Ok I know I should according to the manufacturers instructions to stop me suing but does everybody always do a sensitivity test?

Have nice window of time this afternoon to colour my hair but haven't done a test - whats the MN verdict?

I have never done one, but then I've been dying my hair for about 13 years. I have never had a reaction. But then that doesn't mean I do the right thing! Good luck Smile

Thanks moomin - I'm such a goody two shoes that I have always done one but I really don't want to have to wait.

Will go for it on your say so

I always do after having a reaction to a dye four days (for the test) before my wedding.

I just had to cover up one red, sore scaly ear for the photos rather than my whole head reacting badly.

Nope, never done one. And hairdresser doesn't do one when I get it done professionally.

Thanks Morag and Molly - well as luck would have it life got in the way and I still haven't got round to doing either the test or the dye so will do it on friday and keep fingers crossed I dont need a bag for head to go out on saturday night

No, and I regretted it one time when I used a brand that wasn't my usual one. I was lucky I started out using one that never bothered me and that's the one I stick with now.

I always do it if I'm using a different brand to normal (i tend to get bored of my hair colour quite quickly) but I don't bother if I've used the shade before.
