Short men/high heels?

Wondering what the consensus is. If you are meeting a man who is a similar height to you, or shorter, do you forego the high heels and wear flats to minimise the difference? Or just go ahead and tower over them?

Had a work do recently where I was taller than three of the men. Next time I met them I wore flats. But I wasn't sure if I was undoing seventy years of feminist advances by doing so...! Or is it just the done thing (thinking Carla Bruni here...)?

Wear what you like and bugger everyone else would be my advice. But I don't work with men!

My boyfriend is 5ft 7 and I'm 5ft 4. Even small heels seem to bring me up to equal height, but I wear them anyway if the occasion demands it. He is the shortest guy I have ever dated, in the past they have been at least 5ft 11, but I never get a painful neck when we're snogging Grin

I am 5ft 9 and often wear 4-6 inch heels.

I tower over most of my friends and lots of men but who cares!

Thankfully DH is a giant so I still never come close to being his height.
