Trying to upgrade my makeup - any advice?

I am trying to buy some better quality makeup because I am getting older and looking shitter.

I live in a city with rubbish beauty counters so I am a bit limited. I can get to Dior, Lancôme, Clinque, Benefit, Elizabeth Arden, Estée Lauder, Lancome and YSL.

No Chanel or Bobbi Brown or Mac or Laura Mercier etc.

I currently use Dior mascara and lipgloss and um, thats it! I have tried Clarins and Clinique foundation but it did not suit me.

Any suggestions for face products - foundation, powder, concealer and highlighter are most welcome :)

I have sworn by estee lauder since I was 16... lovely even coverage in non-orange tones.

Their doublewear foundation and light foundation for summer is a must have.

Badgal mascara by benefit is the best mascara that I have found and MAC's eyeliner pots and brushes have the nicest shades and stay factor.

Concealer= Lemonaid by benefit and boing. Go in and have a demo because it's so clever and obvious but nowhere else does it as well.

Try QVC - you can send back what you don't like after you've tried it out. You get about 30 days I think. They do smashbox, bobbi brown, bare escentuals etc

also benefit

Estee Lauder & YSL foundations are brilliant. YSL mascara also superb and if you are brave enough they do ones with subtle colours that will enhance your eye colour. Benefit mascaras, blush/ highlighters and concealers are great.

You can get Chanel Vitalumiere from Boots.com, it's definitely the best foundation I've ever had.
