It'll be october by then (long story) and i'm hoping to opt for a dress / boots combo. I have quite curvy calves, so boots need to be wide fitting and quite short too... Leather?

I sound like a 70 stone, vertically challenged person. I'm not!

More info....
I am very much against short boots with a dress though.

I honestly suggest not buying something spesfic for a first date. Where an outfit you have worn before that you feel good in. Otherwise you will spend the whole date worrying how you look.
Also if waring holdups/stockings/tights get some good quality ones. I ripped my hold ups once from ancle to tigh resulted in me removing hold ups then getting blisters from high heals and no stockings and spent most of the night walking barefoot in london. Although we have been together for 4 years and am expecting our first baby in feb so maybe it was a good move!

You need a new dress and I love the idea of ankle boots.

Do you want heels or flats?

What sort of dress would you normally go for?

Where are you going on the date? Evening or daytime?

What size are you?

What's your budget?

I think Clarks have some really nice boots at the moment - shoe boots, long boots and ankle boots.
Maybe a jersey dress would be good - comfy but without looking too OTT?

Right, sorry folks, I forgot I'd posted this!!

Size 12-14, dependant on style of dress. Biggish in the norks department.

Budget 100 max.. Not great - I know. Blame car service, MOT etc...

Thanks

Going out for lunch, would prob be better with flats but a small heel might take away from the chunk of my calves if i'm honest!
