Biker boots - I feel left out :-( please help!

I would really love some biker boots but.... I have one leg that is bigger than the other Sad

Duo boots no good as they will not fit both legs, even emailed them asking if I could buy different calf sizes and they said no. Sad Angry

Feel like I miss out every year cause I can't find leather boots to fit Sad They would ideally need to be adjustable to avoid it looking like I am wearing a wellie on one leg Grin

I would be eternally grateful to anyone who can help Grin

could you get ankle boots instead of knee length?

I have just ordered these in taupe

something like that maybe?

Chocamochalatte · 08/09/2010 17:50

Link didn't work but I had a look at the boots, didn't see any ankle biker boots though?

Not sure I could pull off ankle boots and leggings / skinny jeans Hmm

What about Fly boots - they have a buckle at the top - could you tighten it up? I need to loosen it right off on one leg.

Or you can get mid calf bikers - plenty around - they look fine with skinnies.

CatPower · 08/09/2010 18:24

I have these Dr Marten Jara biker boots and can't recommend them enough. The sides split right to the ankle and "tie up" with velcro at the top, meaning you can adjust each to suit. The buckles can be left very loose, or tightened up as needed. They are also SOOOO comfy - I love them!

Chocamochalatte · 08/09/2010 19:28

Which Fly boots Tracey?

Mid calf still are too tight, it's not just my calf that's bigger, it's my whole leg. I just need boots which are adjustable and leather so they 'give' a bit.

Are the Dr Martens very 'clompy' CP? Could you get away with wearing them with leggings??

Oh Seven I'm sorry, I hadn't realised, I posted while using my phone at work Biscuit

I love the KG but don't think they would adjust enough, not so keen on the second pair though.. Thanks for trying Grin

Sorry Choca - the Fly Minx were the ones I meant - but they are v. tight as I remember.

I got a pair last year from Evans - really generous sizing - how bout these - 20% all online stuff. Not sure what size your feet are - they only seem to have big sizes left - but maybe in their shops?

not quite biker boots, but adjustable - I like these from Red or Dead. Also in brown.

Chocamochalatte · 08/09/2010 21:59

Oooh I like the John Lewis ones, whether they fit or not depends on how far up the stitching is Hmm will need to book a day to travel to a John Lewis to try them on.

Quite like the Evans ones but not in my size 5.5...

Sorry Vesela, I don't like those...

Oh, I really like those John Lewis Gabor ones, but I spent £££ on a pair last year and will feel guilty if I buy another pair....hmmm.

OP, have you seen the Gap ankle high ones? they're really bikery and 69 quid (you might be able to get a 30% discount voucher).

Chocamochalatte · 08/09/2010 22:19

Well, I really like the John Lewis ones but the Gabor ones look like they'll fit... Confused

Off to look at Gap (just in case Grin )

OP posts:
Chocamochalatte · 08/09/2010 22:25

Hmm, can't find the Gap ones... Can anyone do a link??

OP posts:
DilysPrice · 08/09/2010 22:32

I've googled the Gap ones and also failed - I'm sure I saw them in store this week (unless I'm having total brain fade and confused them with the children's version, which are adorable, and which I would totally buy if I had teeny feet).
Can anyone confirm whether I'm imagining them?

MabelStark · 08/09/2010 22:37

Have been eyeing up the Dr Marten Jara boots for ages - the only drawback to them that I can see is undoing all the buckles to put on and take off - otherwise a great boot. Now that have seen them I can't make myself like any others!

SixtyFootDoll · 08/09/2010 22:40

Thise John Lewis ones are v. dull

TracyK · 09/09/2010 07:51

Yes Gap have ankle bikers in. I've seen them in the shops - don't know about online.

www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=767728&kwid=1&sem=false&sdReferer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.co.uk%2Fsearch%3Fsourceid%3Dnavclient%26ie%3DUTF-8%26rlz%3D1T4HPNN_enGB311GB207%26q%3Dgap%2Bbiker%2Bboot

Here's a pic of them from the US Gap website.

CatPower · 09/09/2010 13:26

Choca - no, the DM ones aren't too clompy at all. I usually wear mine either with black opaque tights or leggings and they look fine. Despite all the leather and buckles they actually feel kinda feminine...!

Chocamochalatte · 11/09/2010 20:40

Ok, really excited.... Grin I bought these today Grin
