I have 1 hour to decide on boots, help!

I'm out in town trying to choose some boots. I never get a chance to come out without the kids and I have an hour left to make my mind up.
Either Kurt Geiger browny grey biker boots which are £200 or choc brown long uggs which are £180.
I can't decide and I'm going to run out of time or make the wrong decision.
Anybody there with some advice, I'd be so grateful :)

Uggs get tatty quickly in winter if they get wet, I would go with leather and biker boots are classics which you'll wear for years. HTH Smile

FrameyMcFrame · 08/09/2010 12:34

Thanx verity, I know you're right re. Uggs. They're just so cosy and I can't have both. I'm having a coffee now and trying to calm down!

KG .. agree with Verity! Enjoy that coffee Smile

cluelessnchaos · 08/09/2010 12:35

sorry I would go for the uggs, I love being able to wear slippers all day every day but I am a bit of a wifey

dexter73 · 08/09/2010 12:35

Get the biker boots!

moondog · 08/09/2010 12:36

Uggs are vile-so slobby and unflattering.

VerityBrulee · 08/09/2010 12:37

OK here is my top tip for cosy feet: buy your boots 1/2 size to big, then get some sheepskin insoles (a fiver on ebay). You then hove the cosiness of Uggs without the ugliness Smile

FrameyMcFrame · 08/09/2010 12:37

Clueless, I'm a wifey too... God I can't believe I'm so useless at making decisions!

yy to K Geiger. Don't like Uggs.

dexter73 · 08/09/2010 12:39

What are the biker boots called - am nosing on their website!

moragbellingham · 08/09/2010 12:44

Are they called Sadler?
If so, definitely!

My Uggs don't see much wear as I don't get them out at the prospect of rain.

UK = Much rain!

FrameyMcFrame · 08/09/2010 12:45

Can't remember but they have a buckle bit that goes under the foot and a contrastt trim around the foot. Would do link but I'm on my phone and I don't know how to copy and paste

I have KG biker boots from 4 years ago.
Still going strong and not even needing replacing yet (worn virtually daily too).

It doesn't help that I have worn boot cut jeans to come out in so I can't really see what they're going to look like. Migh go and buy some leggings and change in the loos then try again. I'm in a tizzy

FrameyMcFrame · 08/09/2010 12:51

I'm not sure if they are saddler? I don't want to go back in the shop until I've made a decision as I've just been in there for ages dithering and I think they're getting sick of me!

OP posts:
FiveOrangePips · 08/09/2010 12:51

I would get the KG, way more stylish.

comtessa · 08/09/2010 12:52

Biker boots! MUCH longer lasting, and more likely to stay in style.

VerityBrulee · 08/09/2010 12:54

Deep breaths Framey! Can you buy the bikers, bring them home and try them on with everything. You can exchange them for the Uggs if you change your mind. It's not quite boots weather yet so you have time on your side.

FiveOrangePips · 08/09/2010 12:54

The KG Sadler boots are £180 on the website, you could save yourself £20 buying direct?

cluelessnchaos · 08/09/2010 12:55

very sensible verity, do as verity says.

Habbibu · 08/09/2010 12:58

Oh gosh - just seen the Sadler and the Uggs on same page. Just no competition - the Sadler are lovely. The Sadler have contrast stitching, buckles at ankle and heel and what looks like a furry lining - sound right?

nancydrewrocked · 08/09/2010 13:02

Just seen KG Sadler's on ASOS - for £40. They are out of stock but probably means they will be on sale elseere.

I would buy nothing and come home and get on the internet.

FiveOrangePips · 08/09/2010 13:03

winnie are £200 contrast bit, look like the ones you mean.

I like the sadler, they are a cross between an ugg and a biker boot imho.

aquavit · 08/09/2010 13:05

another vote for the biker boots

Uggs are vile so no contest for me on style/aesthetic grounds, but even if they weren't, the bikers will last so much better and be so much more practical

Verity's tip is an EXCELLENT one which I have employed myself as I think she has posted it before (thanks Verity!)
