Duo boots: any good?

I know boots have already been done, so sorry for starting all this up again, but... I've been looking at the Duo site, thinking maybe about these, but no idea what the quality might be like. Has anyone ever bought Duo boots, are they any good?

Quality is fantastic - mine are going into their third winter and showing little signs of wear apart from needing re-soled last year. I find it helpful to read the reviews in regards to sizing - I'm a 39 but with both my pairs have had to buy a 38. Those are lovely Smile

Quality is good, not outstanding, but good enough. If you're ordering by mail order read all the reviews for that boot to get clues about the fit because it varies from boot to boot. Also 'phone to check - the cust service are usually quite knowledgable about each product.

I love Duo boots - I have skinny calves so most boots always slouch down my legs, my black suede Duo boots are on their third year of very heavy use and are in great condition. They were so nice that I got them in plum too. The prices during their sales are great if you can get your size.

Lots of winter styles are selling out already - I ordered a pair a month ago and they are sold out and now on special order. I got an email yesterday saying they were futher delayed. So get in quick if you want to order!

As Millie1 says, read the reviews - very helpful.

I have worn them for years. I have looked after them and reheeled them regularly. The zip "handle" broke off an old pair. I took them to the shop but they were unable to mend them as an old zip. Had it been one of their own zips, on newer boots, they would have mended it on the spot for nothing.

I wear boots a lot in winter and they have lasted very well.

thanks, that's really helpful! Ok, time to break out the cash, methinks...

yes def read reviews or ring to find out the fit as even as a regualr duo shopper i still find sizing hit and miss and not one pair of boots has actually been what i measured my calves at!
other than that and the pain of changing them each time as return postgae has to be paid by you, the boots have been great, last well, some have really soft leather. my only problem with the bern boot has been that it did soften a lot and went slouchy at the ankle.
