Yes. They don't fit me and the men's ones don't fit DH.

SilverLining · 07/09/2010 18:48

As I feared! Thanks though!

Have you tried the hunteress ones?

duckyfuzz · 07/09/2010 18:57

try town and country ones, they look similar, have a wider leg and are cheaper!

Whoamireally · 07/09/2010 19:04

Yes definitely fighting a losing battle. Problem with the Huntress ones, is that they look like fat-leg wellies, and even worse, everyone knows you are only buying them because you have fat calves. There you are, wanting to be all Kate Moss festival chic, and you look like you're wearing men's wellies cause that's all they had left Hmm

I have v fat calves and Fulton are the ones I wear - although shop around as I've seen those same wellies for under £20!

CerealOffender · 07/09/2010 19:05

you need these!!!!!!!

MarionCole · 07/09/2010 19:06

Fighting a losing battle. Huntress aren't wide enough for me either. You could go for those lace up ones, but they look a bit odd. I've gone Town and Country instead.

EccentricaGallumbits · 07/09/2010 19:15

i have some short hunters and fat calves.

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 07/09/2010 19:17

Muck boots are the answer.

mazzystartled · 07/09/2010 19:19

get short ones. they work

SilverLining · 07/09/2010 19:21

Have a look around wellieboots.com. These Le Chameau Chasseur Ladies Wellington Boots are astonishingly expensive but may be worth every penny.

tulpe · 07/09/2010 21:43

I have big calves and the neoprene lined hunters fit perfectly.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 07/09/2010 21:46

Aigle ones work for me.

wildfig · 07/09/2010 22:32

I've got a pair of the standard men's Le Chameaus(x?) in a size bigger than normal to allow for thick socks and jeans. Have always been Envy of fashionably slender calves that don't even touch the sides of wellies.

AnyFuleKno · 07/09/2010 22:38

cheap boots - cut tops off/roll top down.

Purplebuns · 07/09/2010 22:44

I second Aigle, mine have leg gussets and a walking boot tread and are ace!
