the shite that was in there!

stuff from when i was 17!

including a red snake skin[effect]
crop top

now i need to fill the wardrobe, i've actually got 6 pairs of jeans, so i think i'm ok for jeans

feel good to get that out of my system

some stuff, i like but doesn't fit well anymore, i have put in the top shelf of the wardrobe, but i don't know if i should just chuck it? [well send to charity shop]

i did this a few weeks ago when i got new bedroom furniture.it felt good and even better to actually open a drawer or the wardrobe and find only things i loveGrin

carriedababi · 06/09/2010 22:30

yes i does feel good, although theres still a few bits in there i don't really like that much, but i can't toatlly gut it as i can afford to buy loads.

next on my hit list is clearing out my make up bag...

do you think i should chuck[charity shop] the stuff that doesn't fit that well.

I file by 'nice' and 'less nice' and choose from either pile depending on occasion

less-well-fitting things can be fine eg under jumpers in the winter

don;t chuck so much you have nothing left - you can always get rid of it later (ie onc eyou have replaced it) but once it's gone you can;t get it back, iyswim

I do this once or twice a year. It's cathartic!

I charity shop anything I haven't worn for a year or anything that is more than one size too small or big (or Ebay it if it is of decent quality/a decent brand).

If you have selected things for the charity shop, put them in a black bin liner at the back of a cupboard. Wait six months. If you haven't missed anything take them to the charity shop!

MissWooWoo · 08/09/2010 09:58

agree with bonsoir, I did exactly that and at the end of six months or so went through the lot, salvaged one skirt and happily sent the rest away to charity

mippy · 08/09/2010 11:51

eBay if you need the money, friends/charity shop if you don't.

carriedababi · 08/09/2010 16:39

ok thanks, will follow your good adviceSmile

I've just done this today as well, have filled a binbag full of clothes. Don't have time for ebay so will take it all to the charity shop.
