It's lovely... if you can afford it get it, it's the type of style that could do you for years.

AngryPixie · 06/09/2010 21:18

Oh, you're not helping! I'm going to spend too much money on it very soon unless someone tells me it's hideous!

trumpton · 06/09/2010 21:26

It's Hiddy-arse ( actually I love it )

happilyeverafter · 06/09/2010 21:28

Great coat, is a quirky classic that would go with lots.

Hassled · 06/09/2010 21:30

DD says it's a bit Matrixey. You might have to namechange to Keanu.

But I like it.

mrspink27 · 06/09/2010 21:32

I love love love it!

thefirstmrsDeVere · 06/09/2010 21:36

Its two hundred and ninty five quid.

Well that is all it would take to talk me out of it Grin

But its lovely.

(but its 295 quid)

EleFunTess · 06/09/2010 21:37

It's lovely. Agree with mrsDeVere, though. Pricey!

Those kind of hems are nice in theory but imho they always look like there has been an accident in the manufacturing process.

It would look ridiculous on me(short short arse) and it is £295 - but I still would admire it on a slim tall person Smile did that help at all?

AngryPixie · 06/09/2010 21:54

Nooooo, even 'it's a bit Matrixey' works for me Grin

But is's £295.... but it's £295.... but it's £295
(repeat to fade)

That coat is very Melbourne. And I mean it in a good way: black and cut up all over the place.

A lively coat.

spiritmum · 06/09/2010 22:00

Love the coat.

Can't see it working over anything but narrow pants and boots or a maxi skirt though.

meerkate · 06/09/2010 22:03

yikes! wouldn't work in my rural backwater, i have to say!

stillbobbysgirl · 06/09/2010 22:03

Really nice, but you wouldn't be able to wear it with everything.

Its a bit vampire-ish if you are looking to be put off.

Sukie1971 · 06/09/2010 22:05

If you're tall and slim then go for it. If you're not then ..... STEP AWAY FROM THE COAT!!

dylsmum1998 · 06/09/2010 22:07

Wow I love it, but way too much money- can you find me a cheaper version Grin

FiveOrangePips · 06/09/2010 22:10

I think it is very Withnail and I (does that make me an old git?), it does make it even more attractive.

Have you tried it on yet?

AngryPixie · 06/09/2010 22:12

I'm going to try in on hopefully on Wednesday, will keep you all posted, and post a changing room pic if I need an instant decision Grin

OP posts:
SpeedyGonzalez · 06/09/2010 22:12

I don't like it. Hassled's DD is spot on re Matrix, and I HATE Keanu.

Am I helping? Grin

BelleDameSansMerci · 06/09/2010 22:12

So, since you're going to buy it Grin and it is so gorgeous you'll want to wear it as much as possilbe, you need to work out how much it will be per wear. Assuming that you're in the UK, it'll be coat wearing weather for at least half the year, that's 182.5 days. Therefore, I think, it's about £1.62 per day. Bargain...

Except, of course, you won't wear it every day, etc, etc but I find this kind of justification very helpful.
