It's a lottery. I do find the more expensive ones have more in the box - check the labels. You should be able to manage with just one box. Apart from that it's just pick-the-colour you like. A temporary one may not cover your grey. You can't go lighter with a temporary one, just darker.

Get superdrugs 99p tinted shampoo, it is perfect for a small amount of grey, very easy to use (leave it on for 5 minutes then wash out like a normal shampoo, and condition the ends of your hair as usual.

I use it a few times a week (or once a week depending on my laziness levels) and vary the colours - so I use a red, a light copper and a dark brown, the dark brown is best for me, but sometimes I like to have a change. It builds up without making your hair feel different/heavy.

I can't link to it because I haven't seen it online, it is beside the shaders and toners and hair dye, in a small silver bottle.

fiveorangepips - i think i know what you mean as its a small silver bottle but i dont think ill find time to top it up all the time cos iv got a toddler to look after during the day Smile but thanks anyway.

oldenough - Does expensive ones lasts longer than the cheaper ones? Thanks for the tips. I guess that i will try a temp one out and go from there to see how much coverage of the grey does it do for me.

You only leave it on for 5 mins though, I have to say I find it way more easy than any dye, but I only have a few grey hairs. I really don't like dyeing my hair, but don't mind this, but I don't have a toddler! I shower before my dc are up, unless it is the weekend.
