I am buying it as a present to myself after receiving some money and I want it to remind myself how far I have come and that have survived.

Do you have a local gallery-type shop that sells unique pieces of art, jewellery etc?

If so have a look in places like that.

We have a lovely shop near where we live and I've got a couple of beautiful silver pieces from there that were made by a local jewellery designer.

What sort of styles do you like? Budget?

I have 2 silver bracelets having never thought I was a silver person. One is for every day wear and the other is a bit more dressy.

I can only wear 18 carat yellow gold as allergic to white gold.

Budget would be around £100 going up to £150 for something I really love. I think I need clothes more.

so would a silver necklace be good to go with one or both bracelets? What are bracelets like? Can you link or post pics?

Fair do's by the way, not naff at all!

have you looked at the crafts people onwww.folksy.com
you could buy something on there,or have a piece commissioned -there are some lovely silver bracelets - or earrings ? can recommend Aeris Designs or Laura Cameron.
Otherwise have you seen Alex munro jewellery - gold and silver- asnd a great favourite of mine (for bracelets) is Beth Essex - i have a set of three thin silver bangles, one of which has a gold loop...will find some links....

I have a silver signet ring that the kids got me for mothers day one year - says in french on it In love we are united or love links us or something like that.

Wasn't too expensive and everyone asks me where I got it.

This company do some lovely handmade silvery jewellery - allrecycled from other things. Some of the collections are a bit hippyish but I have a lovely swallow necklace from them and they take commissions too within your budget.

I bought this one myself here and DH bought me this one for our wedding anniversary. I don't really want a necklace as I have a diamond one that I wear all the time.

The signet ring isn't really my thing but thank you for looking. I used to have a Russian wedding ring I loved so maybe something like that and I am also considering earrings but I can't wear cheap ones. I spent £30 on some, which is a lot for me for earrings, and they irritate me after a couple of days. I really like them as well.
