How do you 'do' eyeliner?

on top lids, I am a total novice at this sort of thing .

I use urban decay 24/7 as you can wipe it off if you make a mistake before it "sets".

I do the whole lid, making it slightly thicker towards the outer corner and then go a bit further out IYSWIM.

It depends what 'look' you are going for IYSWIM I will look up a site for you one min........

One tip: if you're right-handed do the left eye first as you can more easily match this on your more 'comfortable' side. Left-handers do right eye first.

Personally I use dark brown eyeshadow with a thin flat brush and draw a line with that. It is much easier and looks far better imo, plus you can smudge it easily and go for the smokey look :)

Oh and I pull the lid to the side to get a better line too

I use either smashbox or bobbi brown gel liners with a very fine brush and just dab across my eyelid.

Are we talking liquid or pencil? With liquid, like Morag, I thicken the line at the outer part of the lid line and if it's evening I'll do a subtle flick at the end for a bit more drama. Not so much a fan of pencil but it is good if you want a smoky eye as you can get smudging!
