I do get some spots but it's not so much them as general blotchiness, like the tail ends of spots, red marks, light brown marks etc. My skin looks terrible, like an old hag (I'm 32!)

What can I do about this? Apart from slap on loads of make up? I've never really looked after my skin and now I'm paying the price.....Sad

Treat yourself to a facial - Dermalogica are good and reasonable - about £40-50 I think. Or ask friends for a recommendation. The beautician should be able to advise you on a skincare regime, although don't feel obliged to spend ££££s on products. She should be able to suggest some very basic stuff to start with.

My personal musts are - some kind of gentle cleanser - Liz Earle is good, also Mac wash-off oil cleanser. or Boots have good basic stuff starting at £4-£5.

I moisturise each morning with something light with an SPF15 or so, and then apply some proper sunblock (No7 anti-age spots is good) if it's sunny Sunblock will prevent brown marks getting worse.

Nightime, I use a slightly richer cream after cleansing. Check out Boots for a variety of potions ranging from a few quid to ££s. The No 7 protect and perfect serum is genius and although about £20 lasts about 2 months.

Every week or so exfoliate - at £8 or so Aapri (sp?) does the job well, but you can spend loads more if you feel like it.

Final point, I think sun protection is the biggest favour you can do your skin. Also, working up a glow from exercise is a great skin booster. Really makes a difference imo.
