tethersend · 02/09/2010 20:51

Yes. These.

What sort of dress?

PuraVida · 02/09/2010 20:56

jersey material, a bit clingy but twisty gather bit between boobs creating a disguise for slightly bulgey tummy

they're ok, but the heel is a bit skinny, is that what's in now?

Not particularly in I just like them and the colour fits... would you prefer something chunkier? Would you do a clog? In burgudy?

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:07

Pura, I've just bought this black dress whixh I plan to team with 40s style red shoes with block heels.
Navy and grey sounds good.

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:09

Am currently lusting after these.

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:10

These also (I think Tether lniked..)

PuraVida · 02/09/2010 21:11

i'm so uncool i really am. surely those clogs would look a bot odd with tights? i was thinking more a round toed with a strap across and a smallish, chunkier heel. would try and find some links but the shoes are about 5 years old and the dress is from ted baker, but the outlet shop so old and not on the website now

would any other shoes go with the navy / grey combo, obv n ot black, brown would look weird, taht really leaves me with 'colours' doesn't it?

OP posts:
PuraVida · 02/09/2010 21:12

moondog those first ones are beautiful

OP posts:
moondog · 02/09/2010 21:14

Aren't they just?
I have just spent £££££ on clothes so am reticent about splurging again but I keep on ogling.

Also lovely.

traceybath · 02/09/2010 21:14

I've got a new navy knitted dress which I'm going to wear with grey opaques and grey shoe-boots

Love those red suede ones Moondog - think they were in grazia this week.

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:16

I like these too which cost considerably less.

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:17

Nice Tracey. You must be a veritable reed to get away with a frock like that....

PuraVida · 02/09/2010 21:19

mmmmm moondog you have such lovely links

now shoe boots there's an idea tracybath, but your link goes to a dress, wich would be lovely,if i were 2 sizes (or 4) smaller

OP posts:
traceybath · 02/09/2010 21:22

Oops - dress was for another thread Smile

Here are shoe-boots.

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:22

I like these too but for work only.

moondog · 02/09/2010 21:23

Tracey, luuuurvely.
Shock at that discount!!!

PuraVida · 02/09/2010 21:25

now i have that last one moondog, sardinia, but in a 'natural' colour, kind of like skin. that's about as high as i can walk in

traceybath, wowzers, what a bargain! i never find anything good on the outnet

OP posts:
traceybath · 02/09/2010 21:25

Oh I have got some real bargains on that site. Temperley dress should have been £585 - I paid £1! Calvin Klein dress should have been over £1k - I paid less than £150.

Sign-up if you haven't already.

The shoe boots are lovely - cut low at the front so very flattering to legs.

tethersend · 02/09/2010 21:26

tracey, your link is to a dress? Was thinking of grey shoeboots for myself as I can't find any cream ones, so fancy a nose Grin

Moondog, did you see the closed toe ones in Hobbs? Blaise platform court

PuraVida, a sort of mink colour would also go... will have a look. Unless you hate the thought.

Ballpoint · 02/09/2010 21:27

Navy dress, grey tights......and purple shoes with matching bag. Lovely Smile

traceybath · 02/09/2010 21:29

Tethers - re-did link - did you see? They were a bargain.

tethersend · 02/09/2010 21:29

I take waaay too long to post Grin

Pura, I would wear the natural coloured ones with the dress and tights- perhaps that's just me Wink

PuraVida · 02/09/2010 21:29

is mink greyish rather than camelish (or as it was called prior to this season beige?) i am open to grey / mink, i guess a darker grey than the tights is what i should aim for yes?

OP posts:
tethersend · 02/09/2010 21:30

I would go lighter. Something like this sort of colour.

PuraVida · 02/09/2010 21:31

nah natural colour far too light, they really are skin coloured and don't go, which brings me onto another thing, are flesh coloured tights still worn? i've never ever worn them but now i am old / wearing more skirts to work, sometimes i feel the need for tights, bit have only ever worn black / coloured ones and feel a bit weird about flesh coloured tights
