What do I wear to a Muse concert?

Am so excited. I've wangled myself a ticket to see Muse next weekend. I have never been to anything like this before Blush and rarely even get to go out with dh so have no idea at all what to wear.

We're going with a group of dh's (lawyer) colleagues and clients as part of some corporate jolly (buffet and drinks beforehand, sitting in a box etc) so I have to look the part.

Shopping opportunities locally are Fat Face or White Stuff, otherwise I will have to buy something online.

I will have to wear Birkenstocks or ugly low heeled brown boots on my feet due to bunions (impossible to buy shoes that fit), and am a size 10/12.

jeans and t shirt? People don't dress up for gigs do they?

Ear defenders ;)

Definitely casual-jeans and a top.

Sturdy shoes as you'll get trampled on. Flat boots would be good. Maybe with skinny jeans/leggings and a top/tunic????

I made the mistake of wearing plimsoles to see Oasis at wembley. My ankles were covered in bruises and the shoes were ruined because of all the 'fluids' being thrown around etc.

Jeans and t shirt. Noboby dresses up and nobody is remotely interested in whatever anyone else has on. All eyes will be on the stage!

Oh just realised you were corporate. Do you like Muse?

2madboys · 02/09/2010 15:59

If it's a box, I would wear jeans and a nice top, poss with heels.

TigerseyeMum · 02/09/2010 20:43

Muse are so amazing live no one will notice what you are wearing!

But if you are worried I'd opt for some nicely-fitting jeans, boots - long or maybe cowboy style? and a funky t-shirt/jacket or glam top.

Go naked..... I LOVE muse,

MrsJohnDeere - how freaky! I too am going to the Muse gig next week also on a corporate jolly with husband (lawyer) and clients in a box and was also internally having the same dilemma as my youngest dc is 7 months and am not feeling particularly hip! Wonder if we are in the same box??

I am sooooooo excited about the gig. Was hoping to have lost some extra baby weight poundage but am living off sugar at the moment so am feeling very uninspired on the sartorial front.
