have you tired youtube? loads of tutorials on there!

Bumperlicious · 02/09/2010 10:44

Do you have a picture of what you mean? Not that I can be any help, just looking for inspiration Grin

All the posh teens round here seem to manage it.

Nuttybear · 02/09/2010 11:15

I have tried youtube but I couldn't see the back of the hair style, or figure out all the details!

I can't find any pictures but I think I know what you mean. Does this sound right?

Bumperlicious · 02/09/2010 11:47

I think the posh teens probably have a lot of time on their hands Grin

You know it's going to involve back combing which is going to be a nightmare to get out?!

Bumperlicious · 02/09/2010 11:51

How about using one of these. There were some threads on them about 6 months or so back, try searching the archives.

Nuttybear · 02/09/2010 12:37

Shiny Yes Thank you. It does look like you need a lot of time. Bump Why oh! why have I only got nephews and not one niece, we could have hours bonding while she did my hair. I'll have a look Its a shame they are called 'Bumpits!'I'm going to see if Selfriges have it! My DH said his Mum use to get it done at the hairdressers. Well those days of cheap hairdressing has gone. Oh! well I'll go back to my 80's scruch instead. half a ton of mousse Turn head upside down dry hairspray, don't touch it again until you go to an aerobics class with leg warmers etc..Ha ha!

If you're in London, you could go to the Blow Dry bar at Top Shop and have a Bardot 'do - it's about £20 and the stylists I've had have been more than happy to talk me through what they're doing. Have managed to recreate it at home with some success, only not as much height - stylists are that bit fiercer about backcombing and spraying...

Nuttybear · 02/09/2010 17:11

OOOOO! That sounds good. I haven't been up town for ages. That would be a major treat! thank you. A 'Bardot' do,yes, that's what I want.
