Does No7 Protect & Perfect give you spots?

I am 32 and having 2 children in 2 years who both laugh in the face of sleep has left me looking haggard. I used to be quite pretty but now people are always telling me I look tired! Sad So, I keep trying anti-ageing creams but then I get acne. The last one I tried was the new L'Oreal Youth Code and I just came up in massive spots so then I looked old and wrinkly but with teenage acne - not fair! I have a trial size of Boots Protect and Perfect but I'm worried about trying it as even one application of other creams have caused spots that take weeks to go away - arrggghhhh Angry

Does anyone have similar skin to mine? Is there anything I can try to fight the wrinkles?

I use protect and perfect and I really like it.

I'm pregnant atm and my skin has gone like a teenagers - little spots under the skin all across my forehead - so I've got some L'oreal stuff that is designed for 17 year olds.

I'm using Protect and Perfect day and night creams - they are lightweight and not oily so I reckon should be OK. I'm really pleased but if you need an instant pick me up Clarins Beauty Flash Balm is great. I'm 46 and my kids are older now - believe me that sleepless period will pass!

Euphemia - do you use the P&P moisturisers? They are v.good and sit well over the serum. I also use the eye cream

Grin

Don't you know that such things work by osmosis even when they are just sat on your bathroom shelf? Wink

Protect and perfect works by speeding up skin cell renewal so anything lurking underneath comes to the skin surface quicker. Sadly that means spots.

thehairybabysmum · 01/09/2010 11:16

I like how P&P makes my skin eel, lovely and soft but it does defo give me spots. Ive tried it a few times and it consistently does. No problems if i use a different serum. I tend to use the Clarins serum, not cheap but lasts for ages.

sorry hairy that link doesn't show which one you mean, it show s the whole range... I use the Extra- Firming Tightening Lift Botanical Serum but I won't be buying it again tbh.

cleoismycat · 01/09/2010 13:24

i read that you should try a new cream for two weeks before deciding whether it is for you. Also my SIL went to a demotologist and was told to only use no7 products but not p&p as it is too strong for sensitive skin.

thehairybabysmum · 01/09/2010 13:39

sorry, its the hydra-quench one in the blue bottle.

BeauticianNotMagician · 01/09/2010 14:25

i've been using the body serum on my upper chest and have got a couple of quite big spots

the only moisturiser i can use is clarins daily spf15 lotion

but the best one i have found in a longtime is elemental herbology

Househunter · 01/09/2010 15:43

amidaiwish - yes that's where I got my original concern from - had shelled out £££ for the Protect and Perfect Body Cream for my ageing decolletage only to get some great big spots in my cleavage - nice!
