I saw a beautiful skirt in 'Instyle' - it is by Tucker and is dark green, crepe de chine, pleated calf length and quite full. It says it is from Harvey Nics but they don't have it on their website and I can't get to a store.

So, it doesn't have to be that one but I would like to find a fullish (ie. not pencil straight) calf towards ankle length skirt in a dark colour. In magazine they had styled it with a fitted cardi and chunky boots for day and with these heels and a bustier type top for night.
I really want one to wear in the evening with heels and maybe a short jacket. Budget wise, I would have considered the Tucker one if I could find it but would prefer £100-150 mark.

Can the S&B fashionistas help me???

This type of thing?

Yes!! Just like that but not printed. The one in the mag was bottle green. Where can I find one??

Well Liberty do tucker but I'd just phone Harvey Nicks and ask when they'll be getting it in.

Haven't seen any cheaper versions around but its the type of thing that zara may get a version of.

Thank-you Traceybath - I thought that this was going to be the length for skirts this season...
I've found one on the Jaegar website but it says that its knee skimming where I wanted mid-calf with some swing.
I always do this; I decide on a very specific thing that I want only to find that it doesn't exist Sad

Oh they'll be in the shops soon but I'd wait until mid-september.

Actually email nap and tell them what you're looking for they can normally tell you if they're getting it in or offer an alternative.

Good advice. All this crappy weather and I'm getting a bit ahead of myself on the A/W shopping!! have great boots so want things to go with Grin

Oh I know that feeling - I am waiting for the Barbour/Anya Hindmarch minx jacket to arrive very impatiently Grin

Haha! I felt sure that I would be able to wear my new ankle boots today (mulberry post mans lock in drizzle- yum!) and the sun came out for the first time in a week!!

Similar but maybe too long
very nice but vv expensive

littledawley · 31/08/2010 22:14

Ooh, thanks Corky!
like the second one but it is too expensive and not floaty enough- the first one would be more like it if it was shorter.
The original one was crepe so would have good movement. (I'm not fixed on green btw- navy, grey or black would be great)
