Calling all APPLE shapes, tell me what you wear

I want to know what shape jeans you wear. Should we show off our fairly thin legs in skinnys? or stick to straight/bootcut. Wide leg/boyfriend make me look bigger.

What kind of tops should we wear? low or v neck should be good. Do tops need to be a certain length? if we are wearing bootcut jeans does our bum need to be covered like we would do if wearing leggings or skinny jeans?

Also what kind of coat? one website said to avoid double breasted, but then showed a mac worn open, but i'm sure it was double breasted, can we only wear double breasted if it stays open? Also can we wear belted jackets?

I wear skinnies
I always wear a V neck, never round

I never wear a double breasted

I DO wear belted coat

Wide leg/boyf jeans - no way for me

Your bum should be ok, if apple, non? I am apple but not big bum

Yup, I never wear round neck tops, ever, always V necks. I also wear wrap tops, and wrap dresses too. I go for single breasted coats, and I also avoid belted coats as I am short so I tend to look like a heffer with a belt.
I wouldn't dream of wearing wide-legged trousers.
I find pencil-skirts look good as they hold in my belly but make me look shapely rather than a barrel!

I was talking to someone at work about being an apple shape, she said "Does that mean you should wear red and green?!" :)

I never wear double breasted, it looks awful. V-necks or deep scoop. Re belts and covering your bum, it depends what size you are - I'm quite fat as well as an apple . If you have a short torso a long top might look better, but with a long torso you just need to flatter your bust.

I'm an apple and don't think I suit leggings and a tunic, my skinny slim legs and larger middle make me feel like a lollipop!

Although if I wear long boots it sort of balances the effect.

I quite like a line skirts and peep toed shoes in the summer. Top wise not loving empire line (look pregnant) and try to go for fitted but not clingy. V necks or low necks are more flattering than higher necklines.

Double breasted is difficult, looks ok if open (but what is the point of a coat that doesn't keep you warm? Belted coats, hmm depends on the coat, not tied tight so that you look like a sack of tatties. Never yet found a mac that I can fasten and makes me look the way I'd like to look!
