Minimode from Boots...Has it disappeared?

I really like the children's clothes from here especially Molly n Jack. Has it folded? The website is really dated now and you cannot order. Heard that Boots will now be stocking Mothercare clothes. Anyone with inside knowledge?

Yes, the website closed down a while ago and I went to Boots Oxford St on Saturday and all the clothes were gone just a few sale bits left.
Shame, it was mt fave children's shop.

LauraNorder · 30/08/2010 20:19

I thought Minimode clothes was going into Mothercare - but I may have got it round the wrong way. I always thought Minimode was Boots name for it's own clothing but apparently it's a independent company and their contract with Boots ran out.

bamboostalks · 30/08/2010 20:21

Such a shame, they were really well designed and good value imo. Mothercare clothes no comparison.

Minimode clothes were supplied either by Adams or by the same company that supplied Adams. Once Adams folded it was only a matter of time before Minimode went too. Apparently Boots will have a new range of clothing from another supplier in the near future.

SecretNutellaFix · 30/08/2010 20:22

Minimode is no more.

MiniClub is the new clothing range exclusive to Boots, although supplied by Mothercare. It's supposed to launch 1st Sept.

LittleCheesyPineappleOne · 30/08/2010 20:22

They're bringing out a new range in September, Mini Club.

Pluto · 30/08/2010 20:25

I am gutted. Their clothes were much better quality and much nicer than Mothercare.

moragbellingham · 30/08/2010 20:25

Brilliant, I hope it has the same kind of stuff in it.

bamboostalks · 30/08/2010 20:28

So miniclub comes from Mothercare? The designers behind minimode are not involved?

This is a real shame. My dd is too big for Mini Mode now, but when she was little she wore it all the time. Good value, good quality, proper little girl's clothes. And Molly and Jack was just lovely.

I can't think of anywhere else where you can get really good quality basics so cheaply. I used to get ds the two pack of tracksuit bottoms every season, only about 7 pounds for two years, but now on their third little boy and still going strong!

stillfrazzled · 31/08/2010 16:33

Mini Mode clothes were lovely, the only line that consistently did nice bright stuff for boys that wasn't loaded with horrible fecking slogans.

I don't shop in Mothercare on principle (too much lousy service and they actually pay Myleene 'Ubiquitous' Klass to 'design' for them, WTF). Hope Mini Mode can continue independently.

bamboostalks · 31/08/2010 18:11

Me too! Hate all that black stuff designed by MK.

MrsRhettButler · 31/08/2010 18:13

there should be a mini mode shop imo Angry

moragbellingham · 01/09/2010 21:39

I bought some stuff from Mini Club today!

Same leggings - 2 for £8 etc. same everything IMO.

Hurray.

LC200 · 01/09/2010 22:24

Went in today too and it looks pretty similar to Mini Mode to me :-) Agree about nice bright clothes for boys, there was a nice bright green gilet in there which I may have to go back for :-)

Housewife2010 · 02/09/2010 14:43

I went in today to see the new range & was so disappointed. I'm a huge Molly n Jack fan & the new Miniclub range looked IMO cheap & nasty. There were a few nice babygros & bibs but nothing suitable for my 3 year old daughter or 16 month old son. The Molly n Jack range was so special, but Miniclub has lots of tacky things like cheap looking girls coats & lots of legging outfits & winter shorts. No beautiful dresses or anything stylish at all. It's such a shane as it was such an affordable & gorgeous range especially as I bought most of it with my Boots' points.

SandyChick · 03/09/2010 09:54

I went in yesterday. They only had a few things from the new miniclub. Bought ds a 2 pack of long sleeve t shirts. One was light/dark blue stripe and other was white and dark blue stripe with a mustard coloured trim around neck an a green number 7 on front. Not bad for £9 Smile

moragbellingham · 03/09/2010 10:16

My nearest Boots has never stocked the Molly and Jack range.
I'm going to try Oxford St again to see if they will stock something similar as that is a bigger store.

I like the other stuff aswell, it's great for nursery and washes well.

neytiri · 03/09/2010 10:18

oh what a shame!, when my 2 were little i used to love the mini mode clothes. they've too old for the range anyway now, but still, shame it's folded.

kankan · 06/09/2010 16:19

where of central london boots can i find mini club?
which boots at Oxford street? as i remembered, there are a few boots at the Oxford street!!!
thanks!

moragbellingham · 07/09/2010 16:53

Next to Bond Street tube on third floor.

That's where there used to be a big mini mode range so I assume they'll fill it with mini club.
I would check first though.

tattycoram · 07/09/2010 18:26

The Bond St Boots has got mini club, I was in there yesterday
