Levi 'magic'jeans

MissNuttyNutkins · 30/08/2010 17:12

Has anyone heard of these magic jeans which are supposed to fit 80% of women?

There is supposed to be a fit for all shapes and sizes.

If this is true i'm gonna be happy because it takes me about 3 years before I find a pair of decent fitting jeans because i'm high waisted. Very frustrating. Angry

Anyway, does anyone owm a pair of these apparently rather wonderful creations? Wink

They come in 3 'bum' sizes i think. So a 12 can fit three different shapes even if waist and leg measure the same.I am going to london next weekend and plan to get some!

WhatsWrongWithYou · 30/08/2010 17:20

Where can you buy them from?

TeaRocks · 30/08/2010 17:24

These sound amazing! How much are they?

noddyholder · 30/08/2010 17:24

I think prob the levi shop.Although I would think big dept stores will stock them too.I have v little bum so am looking forward to a non baggy pair They also do medium and j lo super curvy! And various styles.

MissNuttyNutkins · 30/08/2010 17:34

noddyholder, me too. I think people assume when you've got a little bum it's easy to find trousers to fit but it's the complete oposite isn't it. Are you also high waisted because apparently the two are linked in some way.
TeaRocks I think they vary between 80 and 130 pounds.

Article on it here

MissNuttyNutkins · 30/08/2010 17:36

or even £80 and £100. Lazy typing

Yep, that's the article I read. It's nice to see they're using the average everyday looking girl next door girls to model them.Envy

Yes I think I am high waisted and have spent years perfecting various styles because of it!Would love a pair of well fitting levis although do find zara a good fit bum wise!

MissNuttyNutkins · 30/08/2010 17:46

I've heard that before about Zara. I've never shopped there though because it always looked like the kinda shop that if you weren't perfectly proportioned then just don't bother going in.

Are they good just for jeans or other trousers?

alarkaspree · 30/08/2010 17:46

I just measured myself and I'm a 'slight curve'. There's only 5 different pairs of jeans in this style, none in the colour I want, and they all are all hipsters.

But I am almost feeling like buying some anyway just because here they are US$59, not £100.

noddyholder · 30/08/2010 17:49

trousers and jeans For jeans I usually get their teenage ones but in the biggest size so they are slim but not tiny! But I do buy a fair bit of other stuff there too as to top it all (literally) I am quite busty so another hassle

MissNuttyNutkins · 30/08/2010 17:57

Ahhhh yes me too. I think we're called ice cream cones in Trinny and Susannah language. Charming!!

If these do work though it's nice to see that people are finally starting to realise it's not all about size it's much more about shape. We're not all hourglass. Envy

I know I think these could be a god send!

LC200 · 31/08/2010 08:35

I am looking forward to them too! I have a 12 inch difference between my waist and hips, which makes buying jeans that fit impossible. I am really hoping that the J-Lo massive arse ones (I imagine they are not actually called this but ykwim) will help me out!

isel · 31/08/2010 10:13

alarkaspree how did you find out which size you are? I tried on the US website but it didn't work.

alarkaspree · 31/08/2010 13:31

isel maybe you have to be in the US, I just clicked on a button that says 'measure yourself at home' which gave me instructions.

If you want to post your measurements I'll input them for you.

  1. Find your natural waist by bending sideways, and tie a piece of string around it.
  2. Measure your hips, 4 inches below your waist
  3. Measure what is coyly referred to by Levis as your 'seat', 4 inches below your hips.
  4. Measure around your thigh at the widest part.
diddl · 31/08/2010 14:07

Well I won´t bother as I know I´ll be in the 20% not catered forGrin

TeaRocks · 31/08/2010 18:12

That price really isn't too bad, is it?! I will definitely be looking into these!

mysteryfairy · 31/08/2010 19:17

Here is the link to measure yourself

here

I have measured myself and come out "bold curve" - predictably as I am v v pear shaped.

I want to order some jeans as my mum and dad are in the states at the moment and could bring them home. I am confused though by the what I use as my waist measurement to order some. Do I use my natural waist measurement or my hip measurement - hips are 34 inches so jeans that big don't even exist? There is 7 inches between the my waist and hips (and a gigantic 14 inches between my natural waist and "seat"!)
