Just interested really, and want to see if anyone's got any tips and tricks I'm missing out on!

Skin- daily-
morning-
wash w/ clinique cleanser, apply Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and use beauty flash balm as a primer.

Night-
rub nivea moisturiser all over skin, eyelids and eyelashes then gently wipe with warm flannel to remove makeup. Rinse w/ warm water & a tiny bit of cleanser, apply 8 hour cream.

Hair- every 3 to 4 days
wash and condition with kerastace, apply moroccan oil, air dry.

Nails- once a week
file into round shape, quite short, apply White nail crayon underneath then clear nail varnish.

That sounds like a lot of work! D'oh, you make me feel guilty!

nellieblywannabe · 29/08/2010 16:16

Oh no! Don't worry, I feel very lax about all these things too. I go to the hairdresser once a year (have very curly hair so it doesn't show split ends)

Agree with Mamumu, sounds like a lot of effort.

I splash some water on my face in the morning, sometimes (I usually forget) put on some moisturiser I got free with a magazine :)

Hair needs washing every other day with any shampoo I can find, maybe conditioner.

Nails-usually use DS nail clippers after I have done his :)

greedygoose · 29/08/2010 20:44

nellie - sounds fab - I also do facemask once a week if time and exfoliate. I always put on night cream and bio oil my stretchmarks (praying one day to see some results!) and hand cream before sleep (my DH laughs at me!!)

MaeMobley · 29/08/2010 20:52

Face -cleanse in the shower, always use moisturiser. I use a separate eye cream.
At night, I cleanse with cotton wool and something called eau micellaire + night cream.

Once or twice a week, I exfoliate my face.

Hair -wash and condition every day in the shower.

Nails -I clip them short and try to rub oil into them when watching the children in the bath.

minibmw2010 · 29/08/2010 21:31

Face - Olay Regenerist face wipes followed by serum and day or night cream (as appropriate). Eye cream from Lancura, sold by Aldi (its brilliant !!)

Hair - Aussie shampoo & conditioner

Skin - bio oil as a cream (works wonders on the skin around my chest).

Hand and foot cream before I go to sleep ...

Husband says I'm like a slippery eel when I come to bed.

ebojones · 01/09/2010 21:34

Used to use Clinique 3 step morning and night but felt the need to economise
Now-

Face morning - Simple age resist face wash (I am mid 30s) and Simple day cream
Face night - Simple age resist facewash and clinique night cream

I use a Simple exfoliator / scrub twice a week

Hair every other day - Kerastace products

Nails - file weekly and keep them short. Use Nails inc American manicure clear gloss

BitOfFun · 01/09/2010 21:38

Face- make-up wipe if I remember, otherwise wash in the shower. Moisturise if it feels dry- got a nice Aldi anti-ageing one at the moment.

Hair- use a silicone-free conditioner like Original Source in Tea Tree only, never shampoo. Keeps the curls nice.

Nails- occasionally put some polish on which wears off on its own.

grumblegrumble · 01/09/2010 21:43

Chanel face wash in the morning, Boots No7 Hot cloth cleanser in the evening; Clarins serum and moisuriser (anti-wrinkle...) plus Clarins tinted moisturiser for daytime.

Hair - any old shampoo/conditioner (Dove? Pantene?) but should upgrade, Redken leave-conditioner (thin, fine hair) then mousse and hairspray (80's gal!).

Handcream whenever hands and nails are dry or I remember to use it, likewise cuticle oil. And I have them filed (short) and polished once a week.

purplepeony · 01/09/2010 22:33

Wash face with warm water in morning- on cotton woolpad- apply Clinique moisturiser, sun block and make up.
Remove all at night with L'Oreal cleaner and eye make up remover.
Currently using No 7 night cream lift and luminate but also use REN frankicense most of time ( ran out.)
Hair wash every other day with John Frieda for blondes or Charles Worthington, and use hair mask once a week.
Nails file weekly and apply Mavala nude pinky polish. Try to file feet weekly at least and do nail polish too.

Hermya321 · 01/09/2010 22:40

Clinique anti blemish three step in the morning, facewash followed by acne cream from the Docs. I always use eyecream, mostly clinique all about eyes in the evening and their one with SPF15 in the morning. I also use superdefence during the day. My Mum and Aunt have such bad skin from sun exposure that I figure that starting now will help me out loads when I'm turning fifty.

Hair: Any old shampoo/conditioner everyday, my hair is fine but can get greasy.

Bodywise: I'm pregnant so currently on the bio oil/mama mio train. But normally I use either nivea or whatever body lotion I have around the house on legs, feet, hands and shoulders.

Nails: I do nothing with them to be honest.

SixtyFootDoll · 01/09/2010 22:43

I clenase tone and moisturise meoning ad night with Liz Earle stuff

Put body cream on all over after showering

Wash hair every other day - either blow dry or leave natural deepnding on where I am going

Nails - am lucky they grow into a nice shape so I clip them back ever week or so.

nameymcnamechange · 01/09/2010 22:44

Wash face in the shower with Simple face wash.

Apply Neutrogena SPF 15 all day moisturiser to face and neck, and roc under eye cream.

Wash hair every three days (whatever shampoo on offer or dh's head & shoulders when I run out) leave to dry naturally.

Clip nails when they get too long and file smooth (once a month?).

Ta - da!

SingItBack · 01/09/2010 22:52

Calrins face scrub/wash at night, then Clarins night cream.

Clarins face wash/scrub in the morning then Clarins day cream mixed with Chanel tinted moisturiser, full makeup, then style hair using Aveda serum and wax.

My god, no wonder it takes 3/4 an hour to get ready of a morn

morning - dove soap (the green one) on face and body in shower
moisturise face with spf15 olay 7 signs + a dab of mac primer
laura mercier tinted moisturiser over that
full makeup if going to work, just lip balm if not
moisturise legs arms and tummy with whatever was on special at boots

night - Simple eye makeup wipes on eyes
warm water and a flannel on face to get anything else off
moisturise with Clarins night stuff
hand cream - any brand really but if I'm feeling flush Clarins

feet - file soles of feet in shower at least once a week. Pedi every couple of months

hands - trim nails + 1-2 coats palest pink varnish once a week or thereabouts

hair - wash/condition 1-2 times a week with Pantene... tbh if I didn't go to the gym I wouldn't even wash it once a week as I'm a hair slatternGrin. Blow dry straight sometimes if I can be arsed.

That all actually sounds quite well groomed when it's written down! Blimey...

mousymouse · 02/09/2010 11:25

op - sounds like a lot of work.
for me it*s

mornings:
"bits and pits" wash, deodorant
wash face with soap, weleda almond moisturiser, no7 foundation, mascara
brush hair
brush teeth
hands and any dry patches weleda skin food

evenings:
wash face with soap, weleda skin food
or shower (every other day)
brush hair
brush teeth
hands and any dry patches weleda skin food

once a week:
cut and file nails
shave legs
face mask

AbsofCroissant · 02/09/2010 13:39

Morning - shower, use Eve Lom while in shower, wash body (naturally), then after sometimes I put sweet almond oil on my body (or Dr Palmers) or don't bother, or just on legs if not wearing tights. Face - REN moisturiser. I also put on mascara and blush on straight after shower, as otherwise I get distracted.

Evenings - sometimes wash face/remove make up, sometimes not. Use nuxe small wrinkle whatsit cream.

Hair - wash every couple of days; if looking ropey shove in dry shampoo. I blow dry about once/twice a week, depending on how much time I have/how arsed I can be.

Nails - cut finger nails once a week and apply hand cream every day (normally a couple of times at work) and push back cuticles while doing so. With varying degrees of regularity - polish with clear polish, and sometimes get around to colours. For feet, dehoof and polish etc. about once a fortnight.

Legs - epilate as much as have time for/can face. Fortunately most of the hair is now quite fine and pale, so I can kind of get away with it. In Autumn/winter, I wear thick tights 99.9999% of the time, so don't bother as much.

My fringe gets cut approx. once a month, and all hair cut once every two months.

cyteen · 02/09/2010 13:49

Face - wash in the morning and moisturise. I was using Lush Fresh Farmacy but have been cutting back recently, so currently using a Boots cucumber face wash. Still use Lush Enzymion moisturiser though.

Hair - wash and condition every other day (or sooner if circumstances require it e.g. porridge in hair). Again, like to use Lush stuff but currently using some cheapo Superdrug conditioner and Original Source shampoo. Will blowdry with products if I fancy it, otherwise just comb and hope Grin

Nails - nothing, just clip when they get too long. My nails have a freakish natural French manicure look though. I do use lots of handcream as my skin is rather withered after having DS.
