Need advice about interview outfit

I had an interview last week, I didn't get the job but in feedback they said that I was a very strong contender but someone else had more experience.

I have another interview for a similar post in a couple of weeks and one of the interviewers will the same as one of the interviewers from last week's interview.

I have my stock interview outfit, which I am happy with - a skirt suit, pretty shirt, medium high mary janes... looks good, am happy with it but is it acceptable to wear exactly the same clothes for the next interview?

Will she even notice?
Will they take the view that that is the interview suit and I do have more clothes?
or will they think I only possess one shirt? (which I do but will buy more if I get the job)

advice please...

I would be tempted to wear a different top. It probably won't make any difference to them but you need to be as confident as possible, without any nagging doubts about your outfit. If you're wearing a suit with a jacket a fitted jersey top would be fine, I'm sure you must have something suitable without buying anything new.

Yeah change the top and wear same skirt and shoes

Maybe a plain tshirt with a scarf?

Just change the top.

It does not make the slightest difference. Do not waste your precious adult time even thinking about it. From you OP your outfit is fine. That's ticked off. Leave hanging and ready for your second interview. They will not notice and if they did it could be a good thing. Spend your time on doing some research on the company and remembering how to smile and relax. Confidence and awareness are the most attractive attributes in an interview. Good luck.

Thank you everyone.

Think p'raps I'll see if I have a top that looks okay or maybe buy a cheap one - I have time (just no money!!)

I have done tons of research, chatelaine, and they know I'm capable of doing the job well, my only real issue is if there's someone else with 20 years more experience than me!

Will report back after interview.

Thanks all

Smile
