Just bought Boots strips. Took off about 4 hairs and a thin layer of skin. Angry

Anyone had more luck with other brands?

I never had any luck with the cold wax strips, have you tried proper wax that you heat? It's messy and time-consuming though, which is why I just shave now, until I get brave enough to try an epilator...

Maybe I need an epilator. Bah humbug

Don't bother with home waxing stuff, I buy the professional stuff online. eBay have loads of stuff too.

I have used nads sugaring strips for some time, I think they're excellent.

I think sugaring is kinder to your skin than wax is?

what are you waxing? I have an epilator for legs and armpits, but lady garden is way too painful.

I use a tub of veet which goes in the micowave. It's great - does the job

Boots stuff is dreadful, but Veet strips are really very good. I mostly go to a salon for waxing, but when I'm trying to stop spending money I use these and they are really just as good.

Thanks everyone! I just want something for my legs so thought the Boots cheapies would be fine but they are shite.

2nd vote for Veet strips here if it's for your legs. Rub them between your hands before you use them to warm the wax up.
