Spray Tan disaster

Hi, I am very pasty & decided to have a spray tan done as I am attending a wedding. I have got a natural tan on my arms up to my t shirt sleeve line but the rest of my body is white. Anyway I had the spray tan done yesterday paid £28 london prices and am so disappointed the tan hasnt taken well on my legs and has topped up the tan on my arms so I still have fairly pale legs and dark brown arms:(. I know that the spray tan develops depending on the pigment and natural colour of your skin but I have a wedding 2moro and have to live with it for at least a week.Has anyone else experienced this I feel that the therapist shouldnt have sprayed so much on my arms ..

Have you spoken to the salon? I've never had a spray tan job, but it doesn't sound right at all.

If a hairdresser fucks up then they generally rectify it free of charge, I'd expect this to be the same...

Oh no so sorry for you :( there's nothing worse than bad tanning!

I doubt it'll last a whole week if you exfoliate every day.

I would recommend going back to the beautician and complaining. Ask if she can top up your legs (don't wash it off today leave over night)

It'll be really bad for them if you go round complaining to everyone how crap it was.

If this isn't possible, top up yourself with some ST Tropez cream (NOT MOUSE)

It is supposed to be a good salon I won't be going back again I have topped up with Loreal Sublime spray just hoping that it isn't going to make it worse I will have to wear natural tights which I hate:( I am very annoyed & the fact that it was so expensive would have done a better job myself..

This does seem a real shame. I've only had one spray tan (Fake bake) she was very good, it was a little bit uneven but the tan on my arms was MUCH darker than my legs. But my legs did go very brown so they didn't look out of place!

No more spray tans for me I suppose that it's obvious that parts of your body that are more exposed to the sun will be darker but I am very annoyed that she didn't warn me as she knew it was my first time

st tropez do a tan remover, think its a bath oil.

sally hansen leg makeup is meant to be very good if you need a little colour.

I have had spray st tropez and have always been very happy. They always apply all the colour twice, and then after that (for me) they apply a third layer to legs, or any parts I am worried will be too white.

I would just top up your legs to be honest. Don't forget alot of the tan develops over night, so really see what it looks like tomorrow when you've washed it off, then I would add a layer of st tropez mouse to legs only (this can be left on and gives a good natural look)

Thankyou all for your advice I really appreciate it:). It wasn't a St Tropez tan I did top up my legs today with Loreal Sublime that I had in the cupboard hope that my legs look ok 2moro. The therapist should have noticed what type of skin I had and where I was already tanned she did do the tan twice but maybe as Jewelsandgems mentioned should have put a third layer on my legs as they are very white.I have learnt my lesson a a high price of £28 I will be giving the salon a call of complaint..
